I’m iffy on this. Isn’t “snopes” a liberal husband/wife team that kind of have their own leftist agenda? And somewhere on FR while back was a brief Proctor and Gamble tirade. Don’t remember now what that was about, but I still don’t buy P&G products. So even if the P&G letter is true — although Snopes authenticating doesn’t mean a thing except that they got it in an email — why would Snopes go there at all? Maybe the lefty Snopes showing that the lefty P&G is turning on the way lefty Zero.
The "brief P&G tirade" you refer to concerned somebody "discovering" something that looked vaguely like "666" somewhere in P&G's moon and stars logo.
So far as could be determined, it was just another rumor started by another Amway distributor.

McDonald was born in Gary, Indiana, and grew up in Chicago. He graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. At West Point he served as the Brigade Adjutant for the Corps of Cadets and was awarded the Silver Medal from the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufacturing and Commerce. After graduation, he served as a Captain in the U.S. Army for 5 years, primarily in the 82nd Airborne Division, and earned an MBA from the University of Utah in 1978. Upon leaving the military he received the Meritorious Service Medal.
