Here, that would only serve to invite an appeal, and the laws change. Of course in civilized nations the sentence would have been execution and appeals would not be an issue.

Wow. This guy’s seriously messed up. Seems clear that they were lucky, in a way, to catch him after only two kills. He wasn’t going to stop for a long, long time and many more murders.
