There is a theory out there that McVeigh was under surveillance before the bombing and slipped the net shortly before. Lots of details went with him to the grave, like who gave him the money to do the attack. Plus, why would Maddow bring this up? Bill Clinton was President during this and had been for 2 years. Lots of interesting things from that period are still locked down in the archives.
The more-or-less mythical “militia” movement was dragged into the Okla City bombing incident by Bubba Clinton,who used this tragedy as an excusde to demonize a group of citizens that obstinately declined to vote for him (if they voted at all), much as he tried to blame the Columbine High School shooting on the Nat’l Rifle Assn.,the members of which virtually to a man (or woman) faled to vote for him and therefore deserved to be so treated.
Clinton also needed a way to divert public attention from the abrupt cessation of the FBI search for the “Third Terrorist,” whose likeness (police artist’s sketch) and description had already been published.

Why do you think the killed him so quick? Most people on death row stay there for 15-20 years.
McVeigh eventually dropped all his appeals. That’s why he was executed so quickly, if you consider being executed a full 6 years after the bombing quick. Grow a brain.

I was in Steve’s house the morning after the OKC bombing. I talked him that morning after I heard the news about the bombing.
This is utter BS. The time on the fax machine was wrong. Regardless, Steve immediately turned it over to the FBI.
“Close to the militia movement”? Well, 95% of the militia movement was peaceful. Most were just concerned about their country. There were far fewer radicals in the hundreds of militia groups than in Occupy Wall Street or even DailyKOS where they threaten Palin regularly.
