Counties Miss Overseas Ballot Deadline
The Secretary of State's Office announced seven counties will have to take military ballots until Nov. 8.

(WIBW) - Three northeast Kansas counties are among seven statewide that failed to send their overseas and military ballots on time.
The Secretary of State's Office announced the counties Monday. The delays means clerks in Jackson, Marshall, and Wabaunsee counties, as well as Stevens, Finney, Hamilton and Ellis, will have to accept military ballots until November 8th, the 45th day after they were sent. That is also six days after Election Day, which could mean some election results won't be known until then, either.
They know we on the right will scream if they screw the military out of their votes, yet now this gives them 6 extra days to manufacture fraudulent votes, find "misplaced" ballot boxes, etc... (AFTER they know how many they need.)
This was done on purpose!
Too bad there isnt a rich conservative that would be able to collect the ballots from the sldiers and have them here on election day or maybe there is. I am sick of this stuff also they always say Cheaters never Prosper but to me it looks like they do win by cheating—We need divine intervention to fight the socialists
That would be a slap on the wrist!
The consequences for this brazen disregard of US troops should really, really hurt.
I agree. I hope the lawyers are ready to file suit against the election supervisors to safeguard the absentee ballots
They should get them out in time but this is not as big an issue as Illinois not getting them out in time. Kansas is in the bag anyway.
If you're waiting on the Repubs then that bus has already left. They've proven to be gutless on the issue.
They may make a protest then go to lunch.
I have my fingers crossed. Though we’ll probably see the Republican women behind any such action as the vast majority of Republican men seem to suffer from Cryptorchidism.
meanwhile, in florida... you can vote for a whole month
yea... takes time to transport all those union workers to the different districts to vote
Yeah. Had to look that word up but I guessed your meaning correctly.
The simple fix here...is to utilize ‘early-voting’ for regular voters in a district, and restrict absentee ballots back to military and state department folks only...then agree to count their votes up to six weeks after the election. This absentee ballot business has gone out of control throughout the entire US. Toss in the fact that military electronic voting hasn’t been proven reliable.
Yeah, me too :-)
I’m fixin to! :)
Oh, very good. And I agree.
This could have a major effect on the Senatorial election in Illinois, where Mark Kirk, the Pub candidate, has a military background and would undoubtedly get most of the military vote. This is, if the military votes were received and counted, which it appears it won’t be. This is entirely intentional on the part of Dems who made sure those ballots would not go out on time. They are crooked to the core.
State constitutions need to be amended to state that, if military absentee ballots are not sent out by the federal deadline, then NO absentee ballots will be counted. Not counting absentee ballots would impact dems more than republicans.
Sebilius’ home state.
Disgraceful.
