Back in mid-June, Leslie Gelb floated an idea in an op-ed piece that he published in The Wall Street Journal. After the midterms, he argued, when Robert Gates resigned his position as Secretary of Defense, Hillary Clinton should be given the job in preparation for making her the Democratic vice-presidential nominee in 2012. As a booby prize Gelb spoke, of course, in more flattering terms Joe Biden could be made Secretary of State.
Apart from fact that it requires one to suppose that a man known as loose lips, notorious for blurting out the first thing that comes into his mind, would make a decent Secretary of State, Gelbs suggestion made a certain amount of sense. President Obama was no longer popular; Hillary Clinton and her husband Bill had a considerable following that would be far more likely to come to the polls in 2012 if she were on the ticket; and it had long been obvious that Barack Obama held his Vice-President in contempt.

It’s the only explanation...I mean he’s doing more damage to the administration than the NOTUS (Narcissist of the United States) could.

Like he’s not qualified to be President (either by birth or by experience as an agitator).

Why should Hillery take the vice presidency when she could have the whole thing. Obama is on the verge of a nervous breakdown. And when he has to deal with a hostile congress, that can actually say no and mean it, he is going to go round the bend.
Obama, while making a big deal about being a minority, has never actually been in one. Not in school, not as a community organizer in Chicago, not in the Illinois Senate, not in the US Senate. As president he had overwhelming majorities in both houses and still had trouble getting his socialist crap passed. If as is likely he is faced with a Speaker of the House who can tell him to go pound sand he simply will not know what to do. I Won only works as an argument, if you in fact win every time.

Mattresses, bathhouses, public restrooms,
that’s where democrats “go to”.
If you examine their agenda, they only promote individual freedom in ONE area.

Obama is the answer to the question of why the Corleone’s NEVER put Fredo in charge of the Family.
Biden is about as useful as a box of cannolies.
To: hillsdale1
Biden would do well to avoid rowboats.

Less than 3 days ago, Obama said the BEST DECISION HES MADE IS TO KEEP BIDEN AS VP...How long do you think he would live with Hillary as his VP?
And can you name anyone in the country (other than Joe Biden, of course), who, with Biden as VP, wouldn't take a bullet to keep Obama alive?
To: hillsdale1
“Hillary” and “loose lips” in the same article? I think the author is getting in his subtle digs.

“Biden would do well to avoid rowboats.”
And Grammercy Park. Remember that the Veep is a couple slots ahead of the Secretary of State in the line of presidential succession.
