Democrat Dirty Tricks: The Next Round
The American Thinker ^ | October 18, 2010 | Ed Lasky

Posted on 10/18/2010 2:21:24 AM PDT by Scanian

As we gallop toward the date of the Democratic apocalypse, Democrats are pulling more tricks out of their bag to bamboozle (as Barack Obama would say) voters into pulling the lever for them come November 2nd. How low will they go is the question?

Let's take another tour of the political landscape to see what these geniuses have cooked up to deliver to us through their friends in the media world.

"Well, we've got your puppy-killing Republican running for Governor in Illinois. Here is the ad the hapless Democratic incumbent Pat Quinn (successor to the recently convicted Rod Blagojevich) has been running:" [video]

"'Bill Brady's first priority was to sponsor a bill that would mass-euthanize sheltered dogs and cats in gas chambers,' the narrator of a web video for incumbent Pat Quinn says, indignantly, in reference to the Democratic governor's Republican opponent.

Cut to a woman holding a little fluffy dog.

'Shame on Bill Brady,' she says. 'I am a Republican, but I don't support him for the mass euthanization of animals.' Then she turns to kiss the dog. Another woman, holding a dog on a leash, also says she's a Republican, but 'that's sick and wrong.'

As the ad fades to black, the dog barks."

Boy you know it is pretty bad when Fido is brought into the battle. In reality, Brady was just proposing as a state senator that Illinois -- one of the worst fiscal basketcases in the nation -- try to save some taxpayer dollars by having cash-starved shelters euthanize animals in groups rather than one at a time. Human Vets were to be consulted and consideration given to the "most humane practices." But those facts were left on the cutting room floor.

Is anyone on the right or anywhere else really surprised by these scumbags on the left dropping October surprises? If you are, shame on you. We all know if the dumwits are accusing the right of doing anything, they are just using reverse psychiatry to confuse the ‘less informed’ population of idiots. We all know that probably 80% of the American people don't start paying attention to what the political environment until a week before the elections. Then in their infinite wisdom, they watch and listen to the government run media to find out what the ‘facts’ are.
Just one example of an October surprise is Whitman's illegal alien ex-housekeeper. As soon as Gloria All-left-red came out of her hole in the ground, the informed people in California, about 5 of them, knew exactly what was happening. Big surprise wasn't it?

In TN's 4th District race local TV ads here for the Dem are accusing the Tea Party Candidate of temper fits as outlined in his divorce papers.

This one has been in the "leaning Dem" column so the 'Pub must be gaining ground.

That’s the one, I heard, where the democrat accuses Desjalais of shooting an unloaded gun.

..As someone said-—the Dems have nothing to run for so they go negative as a last resort.

Mudslinging and name calling is always the first resort for Democrats.

Okay, here it is:

“With all due respect to Dr. DesJarlais’ second wife, Amy DesJarlais, who is currently on television for the DesJarlais campaign, it is ridiculous for her to call the first wife a liar on television considering Dr. DesJarlais’ second wife, Amy, was not in the house while Dr. DesJarlais’ behavior was violent and threatening, when he was ***firing an unloaded gun*** outside her locked bedroom door...”

LOL!

Here in NC the DNC is running an ad against Ilario Pantano where they cut and spliced Pantano’s voice claiming he was “in the middle” of the Goldman Sacks bailout and AIG stuff.
Here's a guy who quit Goldman to rejoin the Marines to fight in the Gulf and they accuse him of running Goldman, it's pathetic.

I say, too little, too late. Pretty much the mid-term elections were decided by the release early this month of the unemployment figures.

I expect the following accusations against Republicans:

  1. "He fired an unloaded gun." (Already used)
  2. "He exposed his penis to children through his fastened pants and underpants."
  3. "She entered her house through an unlocked door."
  4. "He was repeatedly caught driving while not under the influence of alcohol."

I am awaiting the second coming of the successful George Smathers' attacks against Florida US Senator Claude Pepper (1950). At a time when the winner of the Florida Democrat Primary was the de facto winner of the election, George Smathers tried to make himself the 'folksy' candidate versus 'Red' Pepper's close ties to Washington government and liberalism.

"Are you aware that Claude Pepper is known all over Washington as a shameless extrovert?
"Not only that, but this man is reliably reported to practice nepotism with his sister-in-law.
"And he has a sister who once was a thespian in Greenwich Village.
"He has a brother who was a practicing homo sapiens.
"And he went to college where he matriculated with coeds.
"Worst of all, it is an established fact that Mr. Pepper, before his marriage, practiced celibacy".

These are famous in election history although the actual usage is questionable. Now, I fully expect to see the desperate to reach deep into innuendo and smears in order to retain their "rightful Democrat Power"!
