Unusual request: A senior American official has openly asked for Iranian cooperation in thwarting al-Qaeda terror plots.

Daniel Benjamin, the counter-terrorism coordinator at the US State Department, charged that al-Qaeda's headquarters in Pakistan's Waziristan, close to the border with Afghanistan, is involved in plots to strike Europe.

In an interview with the London-based Arab-language newspaper al-Hayat, he said that American officials are aware that al-Qaeda activists are passing through Iran.

Why are they going through an intermediary like Iran, why not just appeal to Bin Laden directly? (/s) ... more proof of liberal insanity. How much more do we need?

Oh yeah, ask them to help us against Al Quiada. That’s like Pi$$ing in the wind. They can help us by not supplying them. Like that’s going to happen.

Breathtaking naiveté.

Let’s ask the bully’s big brother to help us fight the bully.

Then we can all hold hands and sing kumbaya.

I’m speechless.

Breathtaking naiveté.

You're right. hussein may have his act together and be driving his domestic fascist/socialist agenda at full speed...but when it comes to international politics he and his crew are utter idiots - and that is the kindest thing I can say about them.

The only reason Iran would pull support for A-Q is so that Iran could use the resources to come after us herself, directly.

Maybe he could invite Ahmadijihad to a cookie fair or a sewing bee, y’know, just to break the ice.

And the Iranians have yet another reason to view us with contempt for our weakness and naivete.

A-Q are useful idiots for tyrants like the ayatoilets that pull Amahdijihad’s strings. They would be defunded in a heartbeat if the ayatoilets thought they could evaporate Israel and destroy the US without first order consequences.

I hear Venezuela and Iran have a mutual defense pact, now.

I hear also that the Russians are selling ICBMs to both Iran and Venezuela.

Russians haven’t entered into a mutual defense pact with either yet, but that would be the Red Alarm.

All of those countries think of the US as their mortal enemy.

Say what you will about Putin, but he’s a patriot. A Russian patriot. Clever. Methodical. All for the Russian empire.

We need American patriots in leadership. But these days they’re even hard to find in the military top brass.

Years ago, I posted my belief that bin Laden, El Zwahri and their families reside in Iran otherwise; they would have been killed or captured a long time ago.

I haven’t changed my mind. Those people aren’t living in caves for that long. They can’t afford to risk the Pakistani army rounding them up after al Qaeda blows up and assassinating Pakistani government officials.

If the US government knows this and doesn’t want to acknowledge it because how would we explain not going after them, one way or the other?

I'm sure I ran wants to help us defeat an enemy that is draining us of our blood and treasure. Just asking them shows how weak and pathetic this administration is. It's almost as stupid as asking the taliban to help us fight al quada.

In other news, Neville Chamberlain just asked Adolf Hitler to aid in ending Mussolini’s fascist regime in Italy.

“Breathtaking naiveté.”

Don’t know what the semiphore is that spells out “We’re floundering, taking on water, and need you to sink us” but that’s EXACTLY the message this sends to the Jihadists.

It’s not just breathtaking naiveté. It’s dangerously so.
