Dude!! So far in my lifetime, and I’m a baby boomer, have I EVER heard that song done ANY better. She could belt it out and one could feel and hear the pride she had in being AMERICAN.
How true! She’s been dead for years and I’ve heard it sung a million times since then by every imaginable vocalist - but I can STILL here in my mind that inimitable voice of hers! No other of its kind!
