IIRC, $250,000 is the border of the top 1%. I don't favor tax increases but I am getting rather fed up with those who think that tax cuts on income in excess of $250,000 per year are the most important priority. The life of one innocent baby slaughtered by being sliced, diced and hamburgerized with the active cheering of the materialist obsessive crowd is far more important than that aspect of the tax cuts. Let's set that particular tax cut out as a separate bill and see how it does. Let's have a national referendum. How many babies have to die for tax cuts? How many wars must be lost? How many guns must be grabbed? Money is only money. The tax rates are at stake in every federal election. There are no permanent solutions. When a baby is aborted, that is very final for the baby.

The Democrats have made class warfare their specialty. It works for them. For some reason, there are "fiscal conservatives" (not really but that is what they call themselves) who revel in the idea of playing Marie Antoinette and saying of the peasants: If they have no bread, let them eat cake! I don't mind defending tax cuts even for the spoiled and wealthy as part of a package. However, in turn, they MUST support the rest of the package if they expect us to bleed politically for their unpopular cause.

I am certainly not advocating the raising of taxes on the 99%. What is being done by those who are well off who say that it is dangerous that poorer folks are not paying any income taxes at all (nearly half of all potential taxpayers) and that they should be taxed? Is that class warfare? If not, why not?

We got a state income tax crammed down our throats by Independent Governor Lowell Weicker in Connecticut in 1991. We had never had a tax on wages and salaries. We got one when the wealthy in Connecticut whose interests we had championed for twenty years as to taxes most of us did not have to pay on investments, dividends and capital gains sold the rest of us out and supported the Weicker tax in exchange for sharp reductions in investment taxes and a 2% reduction in sales taxes (big savings on sales taxes applicable to yachts, personal airplanes, strings of polo ponies, ultra luxury vehicles, etc.) One long supportive millionaire told us that his wife would never forgive him if he stuck with us and not with Weicker. OK, fair enough! But are we folks of lesser income not entitled to also act out of self-interest. This class warfare nonsense is the right's version of the race card and just as phony.

I lived most of my life in Connecticut and most of my friends still do. $250,000 a year in income makes you a lot more than middle class in most of Connecticut, I won't try to talk for New Canaan, Darien, Greenwich, Westport, Wilton, Weston, but outside of that Gold Coast, $250,000 goes a long way even in Connecticut, the highest per capita income state in New England and, I believe, the country.

AND the issue is not the first $250,000 but that amount which exceeds $250,000 as taxable income. More than a slight difference. In any event, cry me a river. All I am saying is that the other conservative issues and even the other tax issues are more important. Adults prioritize. Conservatism is a lot grander philosophy than mere materialism.

The Republicans winning the Senate and getting the most conservative Politician out there ,Republican Sharron Angle,in the national lime light won't save America but they are 2 steps toward saving America and freedom.

That being said . I watched O’donnel on the debate tonight . And I am impressed. I guess that witch ad was a fluke .She was really bright and impressive imo.

Still we'll have to see polls from Rasmussen and Fox to see if she can make up that 15 point deficit in 3 weeks in a liberal democrat state. I really sadly believe she cannot do it. These liberals up there in delaware are brainwashed leftist nuts that hate her just because she is a Christian and is pro life. i know these liberals. To make up 15 points in 3 weeks in that liberal cess poll is asking too much. I'm not being positive I'm being a realist. One can't tackle all the things one has to do .one has to choose priorities and spending all that time, energy, work , money etc. on someone that won't win (odonnel) when even some of that help transferred to Angle could certainly put Angle over the top is just a waste.

Ideally I'd like to see both win. But Angle is on the verge of winning. Go Sharron! Go Christine!

As in any election, turnout will be key.

I am hoping those Republicans who are not supporting her now, we reconsider at the end and vote for her.

I believe Obama is nervous about the turnout.

Many Democrat voters may stay home thinking Coons has this locked up.

The Del. primary turnout was one of the largest in it's history!

They were expecting 30,000 and I believe the number was almost 60,000.

Now, most of the Del. GOP has supported her, but Castle has refused to endorse her.

The reason one belongs to a Party is support the Party after the Primary.

Many Conservatives will be voting for those who we don't like as well, for instance, Kirk, in Ill.

The problem is that RINO'S think they are the ruling class and are entitled to seats and when they lose, they refuse to support the winner, as in the case of Crist and 'M' of Alaska.
