Theres more to Schwarzenegger than Skolkovo Californias out-going governor is already preparing for life after office with a drive to promote the environment.
And in Moscows Higher School of Economics he outlined his ideas on energy efficiency to students, highlighting the green legacy of his regime in the US.
Californias dreams come true
Schwarzenegger said at the conference that California is becoming a world leader in energy efficiency and environmental programmes.
We have built hydrogen fueling stations along the roads. We promote renewable energy. We passed legislation AB32, whereby we must reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 25 per cent by 2020, Schwarzenegger said.
In Russia environmentalists fear that the environment will always be sacrificed for industrial growth, citing cases like the Baikal Pulp Plant as an example.
But Schwarzenegger insisted that his experience showed the two were not mutually exclusive.

We need to tell the russians that mr. kennedy was a disaster to the state of California.
If the Russians are dumb enough to swallow this poison, they’ll do more damage to themselves that a full sale ICBM strike could do to them.
Well, he certainly turned out to be a worthless crock of bat guano, didn’t he?
I wonder if Arnold flew to Russia commercial or if he flew in his private Gulf Stream 5 jet?
“Well, he certainly turned out to be a worthless crock of bat guano, didnt he?”
Bat guano is excellent fertilizer for the soil. Schwarzenegger is worthless.
I thought Drudge was going overboard at the time, but he did turn out to be closer to the mark than I thought.
Commercial? That’s for the peasants.
Of course he took the Gulfstream.
Mr. Kennedy would have it no other way!
LOL.
I was going to post almost the exact same thing.
Schwarzenneger met with Gorbachev during this trip. Austrian Swarzenegger also met with the GERMAN president Christian Wulff in Moscow! He tweeted a pic of himself with the Austrian ambassador to Russia while they experienced the great Russian public transportation system we are supposed to emulate. Molotov-Ribbentrop pact!
What could you expect from The Terminator?
