FWIW indeed Pissant!

Christie is a good fiscal conservatives but he said that he is not ready to run for President and a straw poll either way for Christie or Palin or any other Republican means nothing

Well, I'll say this for him - he's got a better chance than Mitt (because Mitt doesn't believe in anything, but will be punished because people think he believes in Mormonism), Newt (because he has no integrity and a woman's voice), Rudy (because of moral objections to his confusion about morals), and Arnie (because he can't find his US birth certificate, long form).

However, Sarah will chew him up in the Iowa caucuses and will come roaring into New Hampshire as a charismatic, energetic frontrunner.

He won’t run. The political issues mentioned are irrelevant; the answer is clear in his character. His greatest strength is his reputation for honesty. Everyone betting against that has lost, epically. He’s said he won’t run in 2012 as clearly as possible. If he changes the latter he loses the former. He won’t.

No. He should be governor and fix New Jersey. He will need to be there a long time. This is just stupid MSM press trying to dupe him and us into goading him to run.

Leave him alone. He has a big job on his hands - cleaning up Jersey. After he gets a few more years under his belt, then let’s talk about higher office. Right now . . leave him alone.

He came in 2nd in Glenn Beck's RightNation summit strawpoll here in Chicagoland, losing only to Sarah Palin. He beat out Newt Gingrich, who came in 3rd (certainly good news to me, there still seem to be many "conservatives" enchanted by Newt even though he's damaged goods and probably unelectable, though I haven't seen any Gingrinch fans publicly admit their support for the man). Christie also did better than Romney (5th) and Huckabee (6th). All of that is a positive development, IMO. I also love to see Christie do well in conservative straw polls because it causes the bitter hard-core Lonegan fans to foam at the mouth when no one's buying there "Christie = Giuliani/Whitman RINO!!!" smear anymore.

That being said, 2012 is too soon for Christie, IMO. I think Chris Christie knows it too. We need him in NJ to continue repairing all the damage decades of socialism have done to the state. And while Christie certainly IS a social conservative on about 80% of the issues (sorry, Christie haters, he's proudly pro-life with a proven record no matter how much you scream otherwise), he does need to move right on guns (freedom issue, not social issue) and immigration to be a stronger candidate nationally.

Outside of NJ politics, Christie could be a huge asset in helping campaign for the GOP ticket nationally by exposing the RAT commies for what they are, and provide a model on other Republicans on how to grow a pair and stand up to the RAT machine thugs in their state.

I do prefer him over milquetoast conservatives like Tim Pawlenty, and backstabbing beltway conservatives like John Thune (endorsing Castle & refusing to support the GOP on the mosque issue ain't as bad as endorsing McCain/Kirk and refusing to support Bolton's nomination)

If he does decide to run, either he must get into much better physical shape, or choose a very good VP candidate.

If he does not get into much better physical shape, and wins, the job itself will kill him, sure.
