“Are you saying that the blacks are incapable of doing it themselves?”

Naw. Just that the GOP is yet again slow on the pick-up.

The only racial barriers in America are those erected by the large faction of black Americans who make a living from race mongering.

Thoughtful reply to a thoughtless comment.

I live in Chicago and I agree that we have a real opportunity to reach out to blacks the majority of which are conservatives.

“His intentions might be good but he’s leading us towards the brink of bankruptcy.”
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Tim Scott is being diplomatic here, he is an intelligent man and he CERTAINLY knows by now that there are NO honorable intentions in the Obama presidency or in fact in the whole of the Fascist, Communist, Socialist or whatever the true identity is of the party that calls itself “Democratic”. Let us hope for change to honorable intentions in the “Republican” party.

The road to hell may be paved with good intentions but the big trucks on it are fueled by bad intentions.

How about Corsican, one-legged, pink-haired democrats? Where are they?

And don't forget the one eyed one horned flying purple people eating liberals. I can't imagine where they could have gone either...

“Why do we need “black” republicans? Any small government fellow is fine with me, whether they’re black, pink, polka dot or striped.”

I agree.

Personally I am sick of ALL the race crap. I could not care two cents.

Bill Randall, a black conservative and tea party candidate is running against Congressman Brad Miller (D)-(VERY liberal) in North Carolina. He could use a donation if anyone wants to check out his website! He doesn’t seem to be getting as much press as the other black conservatives.

He has however, had lots of endorsements.

The reason black conservatives need to identify themselves as black serves two purposes - one it lets people know that conservative is not an “all white” concept which is what the MSM tries to portray...

Second, it lets other black folks know that it is okay to be black and conservative. That they are not alone. There is strength in numbers.

I betcha that most of these folks identify themselves as American FIRST and foremost. As Herman says, I am an AMERICAN first who is also conservative and who happens to be black.

I would add that it’s the democrap’s fault that conservatism vs. liberalism has become identified by race.

Once the black community wakes up and extricates themselves from the idea that black=democrat, I believe color will become a non-issue (or at least less of an issue) in politics.

Thanks george76.
Tim Scott described last week how he was born into poverty and a broken home... When he was 15, a man who ran a Chick-fil-A fast-food restaurant taught him "that there was a way to think my way out of the worst conditions". Scott went on to became a small businessman and a proud "conservative Republican". Barring a cataclysmic upset, Scott will be elected to Congress on November 2nd. There, he will be a ferocious opponent of Obama... "Obamacare's an atrocity around the necks of average Americans," he told me... Scott will be the first black Republican congressman from the Deep South in more than a century. Republicans hope to elect at least two other black candidates to Congress next month. Allen West, in Florida, and Ryan Frazier in Colorado, both with distinguished military records, are in very close races against Democrats.
