WASHINGTON – Struggling to build a firewall against a Republican takeover, congressional Democrats are pouring money into roughly two dozen tight races around the country in the campaign's closing weeks while pulling it back from others where their chances seem slimmer.
With polls showing Republicans increasingly well-positioned to seize control of the House, the Democrats are planning TV ad blitzes to shore up their best-positioned incumbents and a handful of challengers in races they believe they can still win.

I’ve never seen campaign ads so full of hate as the ones that the ‘RATS are running. But hey! Gotta go with what works! Especially when you’re about to get you butt handed to you. The voters love the sleaze and lies in the ‘RAT “Gotcha” ads. They’ve gotta go with whatever will get their sleazy base to the polls.
I have a list of 130 RATS that need to go and am sure we will bat .500 or better.
So, the goal is keep the loses in the 50-seat range rather than risking losing 70 or more?
Over 50% of the public identifies itself as conservative-leaning, while only 30% calls itself liberal. The natural state of things is for Democrats to win no more than 1/3 of elections.
We are witnessing the market correction of the Dem bubble.

So the representative in VABeach , Nye, is 6 points behind, but they keep pouring money in here. I’ve gotten very quick with the remote finger to change channels when they come on. :-)

Do “firewalls” ever work in politics? Aren’t they just a way for a loser to sound like he’s doing something proactive?
Hitler tried building a “firewall” around Berlin to stop the Soviets, IIRC.
That is exactly my opinion these days, too. Let’s face it, he was allowed to vote against the politically dangerous items only because they knew it was going to pass anyway.
