The former chief of the Voting Rights Section of the Civil Rights Division of the United States Department of Justice accused the Obama Justice Department of practicing blatant reverse discrimination. Testifying at a September 24 hearing of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, Christopher Coates said there was a bias against enforcing federal voting rights laws when the complainants were white people and the accused were black.
He specifically cited the voter intimidation case against the New Black Panther Party – an incident that occurred in Philadelphia – as a prime example. Mr Coates
