I think she is a doofus, too, but one thing most Freepers don’t realize is that the younger generation is not socially conservative.

They aren’t socially liberal, either. They are more ‘I live my life, you live yours, and we don’t harass each other about what choices we each make’. They are not as conformist as the previous couple of generations.

The point is not to make the GOP more socially liberal, either. But having a GOP that exerts power over everyone’s life just like the Lefties do is not going to attract them, either. As for the pro-life platform, that is a winner for most every age group out there.

The heck they aren't. Get yourself in the middle of a group of twenty-somethings, especially college-types, and say how you don't approve of gay marriage, then watch what happens. The desire to make people conform never goes away - it just changes standards.
