Unless something totally unforeseen occurs, Democrats are poised to take a real beating in November. Their response to the impending disaster has run the gamut. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is in denial: "One thing I know for sure is that Democrats will retain their majority in the House of Representatives." Massachusetts Senator John Kerry is condescending: "We have an electorate that doesn't always pay that much attention to what's going on, so people are influenced by a simple slogan rather than the facts or the truth or what's happening." President Obama is angry: "It is inexcusable for any Democrat or progressive right now to stand on the sidelines in this midterm election." Why is the electorate ready to kick Democrats to the curb? Here's why:
[what follows is an excellent catalogue of Obama & His Rats' lethal foibles]

For years, progressives obfuscated their true intentions, because even they knew most Americans couldn't stomach them. The elections of 2006 and 2008 changed everything. Progressives bought into their own hype, believing they had pulled off a multi-generational transformation of the American mindset. As a result, they showed Americans their true colors: unbridled arrogance, utter contempt for the average citizen's intellect, and a ham-fisted, never let a crisis go to waste determination to bend the electorate to their will, using government as a club.
That's why they're going down in November. And the most satisfying aspect of the whole scenario is this: despite every attempt they've made to blame anyone and everyone else for their problems, they brought it on themselves.
I won’t be happy until liberalism is declared treason and liberals are sent to forced labor camps.

Um, Yeah John. How do you think we got President Erkel?
I actually agree with John on this. I think that secretly he hopes it is true.
This will be more than just another midterm. This is going to be the start of a second American Revolution!
It’ll be interesting to see what happens with Whitman (illegals) and Paladino (10 year old daughter) and the latest MSM campaign against them.
Well said Arnold!
check out the RCP house numbers.
All 37 “toss ups” are Demcorat seats! 100%!
“I wont be happy until liberalism is declared treason and liberals are sent to forced labor camps.”
Those weenies would probably consider brushing their teeth to be “forced labor”... but I’m with you!
I just don’t see it changing that much. A little but not much.
And hunted with bloodhounds.
I have faith that even the most fervent liberal can be shown the error of his ways. Once a liberal is shown the truth, the fallacy that is liberalism falls apart.
Max Eastman, onetime editor of The Masses, a Maxist periodical of the 1910's, became more knowledgeable in later years. In the mid 50's, he published Reflections on the Failure of Socialism and supported Senator Joseph McCarthy. Redemption is possible.
Now course, if that doesn't work, then your plan is a good fallback position for those refusing to repent.
“This will be more than just another midterm. This is going to be the start of a second American Revolution!”
I wish I shared your optimism. I have full faith that the GOP will screw this up.
However, if the Tea Party remains active, eventually we’ll elect leaders, and public servants, not politicians.
No, no, one of the 38 tossups is a Republican seat...
We can celebrate, sure, but...
Our leaders in the Senate, House, and even governors better be wise enough to recognize what Rush has been saying...Obama is glad to have the nation in dire straits and he can blame “Republicans” if it doesn’t get fixed for 2012, and get re-elected and get Dems elected in 2012...so, can we stave off the lame duck? Can we stave off 2012?
These are the real questions or the republic does not survive.
Excellent essay. Very well done.
I am really getting sick of hearing communists and other assorted Democrats labeled as “progressive.” The term implies positive movement forward, as in a building UP of a nation. IOW, the complete and total opposite of everything they actually stand for. It’s bad enough when those people misappropriate it for themselves, but it’s become maddening to see it used by “those who should know better.”
Well just let me enjoy some of that hopey changey feeling myself for a little while at least.
