You know, it strikes me that blame -avoidance and blame-assigning are at the core of black culture in America. This guy must’ve have really thought Obama would be sending him checks in the mail. The entitlement mentality on display.
I think you’re on to something there. All my adult life I’ve seen minorities treated to an “entitlement buffet” that really was more entrapping and soul-stealing than empowering or gratifying. Whole generations of people raised to expect someone to wipe their butts and clean their messes when (not if) they screw up.
It has to be hard on any sense of self respect.
Couple that with the insidious narcotic of the boob-tube that lulls you to sleep with sweet dreams and delicious lies - it’s a wonder any of them can function at all.
