SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger delayed the state's first execution since 2006 by nearly two days Monday to allow more time for courts to consider the condemned inmate's appeals.
Albert Greenwood Brown is now scheduled to die by lethal injection at 9 p.m. Thursday, said Terry Thornton, spokeswoman for the state Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation

30 years of appeals wasn’t quite enough?
Isn’t it cruel and unusual punishment to say to a convict
“we are going to execute you on Tuesday”, and then on Monday say “we changed our mind, now it is Friday instead”
It is pretty unrealistic to think he could mount a decent appeal in 32 years. (Do I need a sarcasm alert?)

Yep, a silver lining to the story.
Did he do the same for Tikki?
I understand his appeal is basically that being on death row for 32 years has driven him insane and that the state should not execute an insane man.
What excuse did Governor Girley-man come up with?
Tikiki Gone bye bye.
December 13, 2005
Stanley Tookie Williams is executed by the State of California.
January 17, 2006
Clarence Ray Allen is executed by the State of California.
I think there might have been a third.
Our society cannot excrete.
Delayed for 45 hours, isn’t it?
Her victim would be 45 years old. Time to smoke this asshole!
I think it will happen. What is left to appeal?
The dimensions of the table?
Arnold the A-hole strikes again. And to think I wasted my time voting Gray Davis out of office so this idiot could take his place. We are now approaching the end of September, three months into the fiscal year and this state has no budget. Arnold is sitting on his ass just waiting until his time is up. He does not even care, nor is he even trying to get a budget. Meanwhile, the corrupt legislature just sits there laughing at him.
That’s an excellent point. She would have been 45 years old, enjoyed her family, and had her own family. It would be wonderful if the gov could delay her death, but delaying the death of her killer seems cruel and unusual for her family. The shame is on Arnold.
