True but they can’t walk twelve miles an hour, that is about the pace of a world class marathoner. Still, it really doesn’t seem to have a lot of practical uses as far as I can see.

I remember when it came out that it didn't seem to live up to the hype that surrounded it. I figured they called it segway because the technology behind it would segue to other, more practical, things.

Segway and GM are developing a two-seater Segway prototype called PUMA (Personal Urban Mobility & Accessibility).
