What an easy decision, then—it’s England and buh-bye two-faced turkey Maldonado. Thanks.

I guess we should keep bumpin' this thread -- maybe it will help Karen.

I looked to see if she had a twitter presence and it was abysmal. I'm not much of a twitterer, but I'll probably try to give it a few tweets the next time I log in there.

I'll be writing in Fitzgerald for Insurance Commish (Villines is another turncoat), even if he doesn't register for the ballot. Now I'm looking for an SOS alternative. Since reading this, I'm even more disgusted with our cagop than usual (which is pretty hard to do!).

Yes, indeed, BTTP.

Can’t help you on twitter. I have a cellphone that came out about the same time as wooden wagon wheels, but that’s about it. I do understand that twitter is a great political tool, at least for those who know how to use it.

Yeah, Fitzgerald would be far better than Maldonado wing-man, Villines. So write in it will be.

Yes, the CAGOP continues as a sort of Mini-Me to Big Tent RINO Central (RNC) and is therefore useless to anyone other than silksock country club Rockefeller Republicans.

Re: Prop 22

I started to read all the gory detail and have not finished yet, but I’ll offer one more reason that I am leaning toward a “NO” vote.

Today, the gas taxes are allowed to be used to pay debt service on the Transporation bonds. Those run about $1 billion a year.
Under Prop 22, gas taxes could NOT be used to pay this amount and those dollars would be handed to the locals to spend on redevelopment and transportation.
The shortfall at the state level would then need to come from the general fund through cuts — or new taxes.

Yah, I saw on Facebook last week when she announced this. I hadn't had time to post it. Hopefully she's a legitimate write-in candidate (meaning they'll count her votes). If she is, she'll no doubt get my vote, otherwise it'll be one of the third-party candidates (I haven't researched the other options yet). Oh crap!

Dunn doesn’t seem to be very consistent. Barack Obama and Pete Wilson? Huh? Let us know who the alternative might be please!

Given Pete's record, and who he has pushed lately, maybe Dunn IS being consistent.

;-)

Did you miss this about Karen England and her SUPPORT of the 2nd Amendment? Your post is Sept 26, maybe her site has changed, but here is what I read now:

Calif: Karen England, Write-in for Lt. Governor -
Issues - http://karenengland4california.com/issues/ (2nd Amd, - scroll to 5th down on list)

Karen England SUPPORTS The Second Amendment

"I am an avid lifetime supporter of our Constitution, which includes the right to bear arms. I am a gun owner and a member of the Gun owners of California. I believe it is the responsibility of elected officials to defend the supreme law of the land including the Second Amendment."

I had not seen that before. Thanks for sharing it. I will write her in. By the way there's some hanky panky afoot at the NRA. As recently as a week ago they had eMag as ? and Brown as D. Now magically eMeg is a C+ and Brown is D.
