Yep. Its like a ‘mad dog’ principle.
If an animal goes crazy and attacks people they are killed because they are crazy and dangerous. It is perfectly natural.
No one is thinking, Oh the poor animal. He didn’t know what he was doing.
If he is a danger to society, he should be eliminated.
The criminal justice system has it backwards. They exist to protect the innocent population from being preyed upon by a proven preditor. It’s not their job to protect the preditor from “unfair” treatment. It’s their job to establish the fact that this person committed the crime regardless of his state of mind and do away with him in order to protect the rest of society. That’s it.
