Sarah Palin said this week that she could potentially jump into the 2012 presidential race if no other good Republican candidate steps up. But conservative political commentator Ann Coulter said this morning that she doesn't think Palin will run and that her remarks were probably intended to influence other Republicans.
"It's kind of a threat to Republican presidential candidates: 'You better be saying the right things or maybe I will get in,'" Coulter said on the CBS "Early Show" this morning. "But to give up what she has now and run for president would be like Rush [Limbaugh] giving it up and running for president. She has more influence than a president does."

That would really have gotten their heads spinning.
SHe has more influence than THIS President has!!! thats for sure. I dont know if Im convinced she is not going to run though....
She is reshaping the field and making it possible for others to step forward.
And so far they aren’t doing it, any except a couple of careerists who should be dismissed out of hand.
So it may wind up being her anyway. I’d go for DeMint. He doesn’t want it he says. So, Palin-Bolton, maybe?
Agree.
RULES!..............we must observe the rules!
Coulter makes fun of birthers. She uses conservatives to fill up her bank account.
I know she wrote a great column when Sarah resigned the Governorship, it's just something that's in the back of my mind.
We shall see about that, Ann.
I believe that if Sarah understands that she's really the only one standing who can (and will) do what needs doing in the presidency, she'll run.
I believe that she's also got to hear from the people, that they're demanding she do so.
When I talked with Sarah a few months ago I told her I did not care if she ran for president and that I honestly thought she could do more from the outside than from elected office. I was mostly neutral on it at the time, but time has proven she is a very powerful influence nationally while holding no office.
OTOH, by 2012 it may be time to make the move into the more “tangible power” position of president. This will be a VERY different country by then and the effectiveness of her “outside public office” position may have done what it needed to do.
We’ll see.
Maybe. Is Ann still supporting Romney?
well she certainly brings the entire Media-Government Complex to a screeching halt every time she posts on her Facebook page
Right! “This” _resident” or “The” _resident, but Ann got her point across! LOL.
PALIN: No idea. I have no idea.
WALLACE: You're not a very good analyst.
PALIN: Fire me then, Roger. Sorry. I already failed. But listen, no, we have some strong, some young terps (ph) in this party. Paul Ryan, I'm very impressed with Paul Ryan.
WALLACE: Congressman from Wisconsin.
PALIN: Yes. He's good. Man, he is sharp, he is smart, articulate and he is passionate about these common-sense solutions that America has got to adopt to get us on the right road.
I can name a whole lot of people.
WALLACE: Well, what about Romney and Huckabee and Pawlenty?
PALIN: As I say, I could name a whole lot of them but we don't have a whole lot of time. But I'm very impressed with many of the characters, the personalities of those with great intelligence in this party and I can't wait to see who rises to the surface, after hopefully some very competitive, contested primaries.
I'm all about competition. I'm all about, even on our local level and state level, I want to see contested primaries where we are forced via competition to work harder, produce better, be more efficient and that's what these contested primaries that I look forward to will produce.
WALLACE: You talk about rising to the top. There's a new poll out this week of Republican voters across the country and it shows someone named Sarah Palin leading the 2012 race by five points over Mitt Romney. Aren't you the front-runner for the nomination?
PALIN: Nope. Don't know who conducted that poll and I know that polls are fickle and heck, after this interview, Chris, we may see a plummeting in the poll numbers. Who knows. These are fickle. I can't comment on what the poll numbers mean today.
WALLACE: Why wouldn't you run for president?
PALIN: I would. I would if I believe that that is the right thing to do for our country and for the Palin family. Certainly, I would do so.

One little tweet from Sarah and the messiah in the White House is wetting his panties.
Not yet...is right I think. She is certainly keeping everyone in suspension one way or another. At any rate Palin is on the ball and has not said she wouldn’t run either, quite the contrary, if no one substantial steps up she’d run. But then whot would she consider substantial enough to run besides herself? HUmmm-mmmm Just when I believe she’ll run questions arise...but for now I think this is exactly what she and the Republicans want...no specific choice...YET!
