goodness gracious!!! if THAT was ridicule, I’m afraid to ever post anything !!!!!
that didn’t even come close.... and he was kind enough to answer your question instead of just ignoring it..... you must have been having a really bad day....
S/he didn’t answer my question. S/he thought it was funny that I didn’t know what or who a wookie is. I still don’t know, except that it’s from Star Wars. The difference between when I asked the question and now is that I no longer have even a mild curiosity as to who or what it is - a group or type of creature or a specific character.
What I got in response was the observation that I wasn’t a fan of Star Wars (that being the only clue as to what the answer to my question might be) and a “ROFL”. I don’t see any humor in somebody not knowing Star Wars trivia. Just because that poster thinks it’s important doesn’t give him/her the right to laugh at those who don’t know or care about it. If the reply has been something along the lines of, “Wookie is ________________ from Star Wars, that’s why Michelle reminds me of Wookie (or a wookie). I guess you’re not a fan of Star Wars, oh well, lol!”, I’d have had no problem. But to not answer a simple question on a topic you (the poster) raised, and make an observation about the person asking as though they’re ignorant of something important, and then laugh at them for it is rude and childish.
If you can’t figure that out, then you must be from the same galaxy s/he’s living in......far, far away. I mean, I could laugh at you and ridicule you for not understanding how normal discourse goes, but I’m not going to do that.
But.....lol......you’re obviously nor afraid to ever post anything as you suggest or you wouldn’t have even jumped in on this subject if you were.
I think you need to read this thread again. I wasn’t the one having a bad day; I was replying to someone who was clearly having a bad day.
