The latest episode of 'Real Time With Bill Maher' (Fri., 10PM ET on HBO) dealt with the important topic of the Tea Party. And host Bill Maher started off with this question: "Anybody think this Tea Party is racist?" Guest Jon Hamm agreed that he thinks the party is a racist organization.
Jon, Bill, and the rest of the guests discussed the most recent provocation from Newt Gingrich. Apparently, Gingrich said that President Barack Obama was a person who was "outside our comprehension." Newt also said this:
"This is a person who is fundamentally out of touch with how the world works, who happened to have played a wonderful con, as a result of which he is now president."
Okay then. Gingrich's remarks were based on an article by Dinesh D'Souza, which referred to Obama's father, who was a member of the Luo ethnic group in Kenya. The column featured the following remark: "Incredibly, the U.S. is being ruled according to the dreams of a Luo tribesman of the 1950s." That is, D'Souza claimed that Obama was running the country according to his dead father's wishes, and further claimed that his dead father's wishes were anti-American.
Maher wanted to know what this was all about. Actor Jon Hamm said that the "Luo tribesman" statement was racist. "That's what it's all sort of couched in ... that's the secret agenda." He then added this: "When they say [Obama] is a 'Luo tribesman,' it's all sort of code."

Now WHO wrote that line for you Jon?
Who is this Ham clown???
They’re trying to change the subject again.
Don’t rise to the bait.
UH OH!
Someone “cracked” the “Cracker Code”
- you know, the one where any reference to a person with enhanced melanin is “racist”.
Hamm needs to trim the fat around his ears.
....let them run with it, it’s not working and most libtards understand that if the US President tried and it failed...kicking it around again is not going to work
Wonder — what is the viewership of ‘Real Time With Bill Maher’? I’ve never heard of it.
Actually, I’ve never heard of Jon Hamm, either, but I’ll be finding out who he is and making sure I’ll no longer be watching whatever it is he’s on.
Looks like Hamm is as big a turd as the character he plays on Mad Men. Well, last night was the last episode that I will ever watch, and I won’t be going to see the movie - The town.
He is on the show “Mad Men” and is also the current pitchman for Mercedes-Benz.
I have two hard and fast rules:
1) never listen to anything Hollywood has to say about religion (they can’t resist the urge to pervert Christanity) and
2) never mistake an actor for an intellectual!
Hearing that from Jon is disappointing, I enjoy his show. Interestingly enough, as Jon accuses the Tea Party of racism his latest episode dealt with a client who didn’t hire blacks. All this from a man who makes his living being a racist on TV but accuses others in real life without a thread of evidence.
Let them continue to play it ad nauseum. It is having less and less impact each time and I look forward to the time when it is deemed completely irrelevant.
People who cannot afford to speak plainly seem to see “code” and “code words” in everyone’s speech.
Tis a pity these dolts ever came to prominence. Stupidity should be painful, not rewarded.
“Gimme Ham on five ... hold the Mayo ...”
Whoops! Ham has figured out the “Code” and all the “Secret Signals”.
He must have found the secret decoder ring in his box of Captain Crunch.
Oh well, no problem with not watching it since it’s another show I’ve never heard of. Can’t avoid commercials, although I do flip through them - unless I’m using the break to get something from the kitchen.
Guess there’ll be no more MAD MEN at my house.
