The Next Best Political Upset? (NJ-6 - Pallone vs. Little)

Another Dark Horse Race to Watch: New Jersey race for Congress

Pallone vs. Little - NJ-6

Another day, another dark horse race in the making. This is one of those years in which political upsets are coming fast and furious from all directions. As I watch the political landscape shift on a daily basis, an interesting race came across my desk.

Recognizing the opportunity to take on an out of touch incumbent who wants to claim ownership and take credit for a massive intrusion of government into our private lives, the Freedom’s Defense Fund, a DC based PAC, recently announced an ad campaign in New Jersey’s 6th Congressional district.

Take a look at their ad at www.stoppallone.com.

This first TV ad is part of a broader campaign to support conservative, upstart candidate Mayor Anna Little’s over Washington-centric incumbent – Frank “It’s my bill” Pallone. What a namesake. The ad is short and simple in message.

In a press release, Michael Centanni, Chairman of the Freedom’s Defense Fund, defined Anna Little as a “true champion of conservative values, limited government and lower taxes.” Incumbent Frank Pallone, in contrast, is a typical big-government liberal who wants to take credit for the Obamacare healthcare scheme which the majority of Americans oppose.

(snip)

Keep an eye on this race — it could be The Next Best Political Upset.

Anna C. Little is a great candidate. She's "Tea Party Approved", and has the right positions on spending, gov't growth, 2A, freedom and Life. We could not ask for a better candidate.

And Pallone really needs to go. He is wrong on everything, and calls himself "The Architect of Obamacare", as if that is a good thing.

And Chris Christie beat Jon Corzine last November in NJ-6 by 12.5%. This district knows how to elect a Republican.

I saw recently that Christie will be making several out-of-state political appearances for GOP candidates, but in-state, he’s only going to appear for the GOP congressional candidate ( the ex-NFLer..I can’t remember his name) why won’t he help with a few of these NJ races?..

She is going to beat Pallone. The bayshore TP chapter is working tirelessly to see to it. Pallone is history.

...why won’t (Christie) help with a few of these NJ races?..

He has made some appearances for Little, but only a few. You are right, he seems to be fixed on the Runyon race. That looks like the most in-the-bag of the three possible pick-ups (Little, Sipprelle and Runyon). Maybe Christie is playing it safe, and only backing sure winners.

If so, it would be a rare example of Chris Christie backing down from a fight. He should lead with his chin on this one, IMHO. I think the Republicans can pick up all three of these seats, and there is not a RINO amongst them.

Can you imagine how high Chris Christie's stock would rise if he is seen as instrumental in the election of three new conservative Republican Congressmen from New Jersey? The 2012 talk would get really loud if that happened...

OTOH, if Christie plays it safe, and does not put his stamp on this election, he risks becoming an afterthought. Sure, he's the only game in town today, but there are going to be a lot of Tea Party Congressmen and Senators serving up the red meat after November 2. In six months, people could be asking "Chris Who?"

Thanks for the info..you’re onviously on-top of these races...Christie has somewhat attempted to distance himself from the Tea Pary recently...especially by endorsing Castle in Delaware..so, has Runyon embraced the GTP as much as Little? And what about the other one, Sipprele?...

a week or so ago, I saw four NJ races that he was involved in. Can’t remember where I saw it, but it listed the four. You may check the FR search.

Little is the one I am following the closest. She is the only one who is running overtly as a Tea Partier, as far as I can tell. But all three are solid small-government conservatives.

I thought it was supposed to be Anthony Weiner’s bill? How many ‘progressives’ claim paternity here?

Pallone is a textbook NJ-Dem corrupt slimeball. It would be wonderful to dump him like toxic waste.

Watch the Rob Andrews/Dale Gladding race. Gladding is taking the vote right to the people in Camden. He is rattling Andrews the Wife Swapper (remember Andrews ran for senate and lost, his wife won the congress seat and then rob swapped places with her). Unless you live in NJ you have no idea how big the lib machine is, that was until now.

It looks like Pallone is ducking any debates.

Given that Little would surely throw his lines from last Summer’s town hall meetings, that he “Knows what is best for us better than we do” and that he is “The Architect of Obamacare”, I can’t say as how I blame him.
