Well, OK; but, the article chronicling Ford's for sodomy stance was from 2005 while the article from 2008 describes how they reversed their policy in the face of a pro-family boycott. Ford was clever enough, at least, to figure out who bought their pick-up trucks.

There's an interesting angle to the story about Ford changing their ways about their gay advertising campaign a few years ago.

What really pushed Ford into ending that ad campaign was not so much pressure from consumers, but pressure from DEALERS . . . Texas dealers, in particular. From what I understand, the combination of this "gay advertising" nonsense and Toyota's decision to open a new light truck plant in San Antonio caused a massive decline in pickup truck sales among Ford dealers in Texas.

This is the great issue isn’t it? Are we social conservatives or are we fiscal conservatives? If the latter, then the homo thing shouldn’t bother us.
