This is true without question. Make that THE hero. Gingrich's problem, as is true with most revolutionaries, he thought he was capable of leading the post Revolution. He was not.
He had way too much personal baggage, and along the way he became a citizen of the world.
If Gingrich could somehow become a consistent conservative, he could be a very worthy pundit helping the cause. He won't live long enough to lead the party. He's already too old, and will be much older before he can prove he can be trusted to forgo his world citizenship long enough to join the fray in a capacity other than as an analyst. Regardless, he should stick to analyzing.
