I still have the 1993 card with the Russian hammer and sickle coming out of the “C” in Clinton. I was distraught when he was elected and despised him throughout, but he does seem like a Republican compared to the Bolsheviks we have now.

This game of manufacturing the public image of politicians is getting old. And the players have fallen behind.
What Lanny Davis and Clinton apparently don’t understand is that the dichotomy is no longer Republican vs Democrat. Conservative and liberal are not accurate either.
It’s Ruling Class against We the People.
An accurate analysis will show that Lanny Davis and Karl Rove are on the same side.
In the Ruling Class, the spectrum from Liberal Democrats to Conservative Republicans covers essentially no ground, since all of them are willing to drop all principle in order to stay in power and are thus no different from each other.
At this point, credibility belongs only to people like Allen West, Sarah Palin, Christine O’Donnell, Sharron Angle, etc.

Frankly, I'm kind of glad NBC puts them on the air. It gives anyone who is capable of paying attention for a few minutes the opportunity to see the lunacy of their ideas. I've always believed that in the marketplace of ideas, exposure to bad ideas will kill them quicker than suppressing them.
Perhaps that is what is happening in the nation at large. We've given the Dems the reins for 19 months now and people are beginning to wake up to how bad their policies are for the nation. And I think we have, in part, Olbermann, Schultz, and Maddow to thank for that. Now it is time to take the reins back.

I used to marvel at how Slick Willie was always described as so charismatic, charming and warm etc., I just couldn’t see it. After Obama Slick actually seems like someone I could stand to be around for five minutes so my question now is how on Earth can anyone think Obama is worth more than an equivalent weight of pig droppings? As far as I can see all his vaunted charisma and oratorical ability is strictly very thin veneer that hides the truth for about two minutes, no more.

My original opinion of Obama, and still is, that he is nothing more than a shallow smart-a$$ punk.
I learned to distinguish between somebody that was truly cool and a smart-a$$ long ago.
After leaving Oxford under quite a cloud because of a date-rape scandal, (I know, I know ... hard to believe...) the guy was in Russia, and all over the COMBLOC, including the DDR and Prague for over a year. And don't forget, he was Senator Fulbright's boy in those days ...
