Why won’t Democrats identify themselves?

I received a call on Wednesday night for a candidate for New York State senate called Mike Kaplowitz. I politely listened to the man tell me that Mike was a fiscal conservative. I had not heard of the guy before this so I let the caller continue. He invited me to a rally for him just down the block. He then asked me what I thought of Mike. I told him I had not formed an opinion but I am still on the phone so it means something. He thanked me and said a lot of people just screamed at him or hung up. I thought that was pretty funny. I also noticed that he never said he was the Democrat running for office against the Tea Party candidate Greg Ball. Now I have been to Tea Party rally’s in the area but had never been to a Democratic rally so I figured what the heck. First I did some research on Mike Kaplowitz and found he had been in Westchester office for 12 years and that they now have the highest property taxes in the nation. In the 12 years he represented the people of Westchester he helped to raise property taxes 48.97%. Is that what Democrats call fiscally conservative? I also noticed that in 2006 he ran under the working family’s party. For those that don’t know the working families was started by a coalition of labor unions, Acorn and community organizers. He also supported a healthcare bill in New York to force all companies to carry health care. I also noticed that on his website he never identified himself as a Democrat. I also noticed that the web must have been scrubbed and quite a few links were no good anymore. I really went because I wanted to question him on some of these items. My wife and I arrived about fifteen minutes late and Mike was not there yet. I was hoping for desert since we ate dinner before going. They had a barbeque set up and were cooking hamburgers and hot dogs. The first thing I noticed was everyone looked like retired teachers or such. The woman in charge of his scheduling was wearing Capri pants with flowers sewn on them. It would have looked good on a sixteen year old not someone over fifty. Another guy looked like Robison Caruso with a long stringy beard hair and dirty white pants. I also noticed that the crowd was different that the tea party crowd in that if you did not know anyone no one seemed willing to talk to you. The snippets of conversations I heard were about how smart they are and how Bush was so bad. When Mike finally showed up he came right up to me and my wife and shook our hands. He said to me don’t I know you, you look familiar? I have that type of face. I asked him if he ever watches Americas most wanted. It took him a little while but he replied he was number 3 at the post office. One of his young staffers (almost all were under 25) wanted to move everyone inside so Mike could make a speech. When we moved inside I was scouting for freebies I could clip like flags or pins and nothing. Not even buttons. The only thing they had were lawn signs and except for around the office they seemed to go wanting. I did find a bowl of Hershey kisses that I helped myself to. So Mike gave his ra-ra speech and we realized this gathering was just for the party faithful. The speech was about helping all the protected groups, cleaning up Albany and clean energy BS and they had just 45 days to do it. This was not the time to ask hard questions so I had to put my list away. I did grab a brochure about Mike and looking through it only once mentions he is a Democrat in an apologetic way. “Although a Democrat Mike voted against a tax increase”. I guess that the Democratic strategy this election season don’t admit you are part of the problem and tell people you are a Democrat.

I appreciate your info, but just FYI it is really difficult to read when there are no paragraph breaks.

Interesting. I’m seeing the same thing in California. No one is claiming to be a Democrat and they all sound very conservative except to buzz words like special interest (they hate them)...

The dhimmicrat brand is tarnished (I hope permanently!) so I’m surprised you found any reference to his affiliation.

There have been several news stories recently where the dhimmis are trying to sell themselves as “Sure we’re bad - but not as bad as the Republicans”.

Good job on your first enemy infiltration!

“I asked him if he ever watches Americas most wanted.”

OK, that was a worth a LOL chuckle.

Good report, and unsurprising. The Left has had to hide its true beliefs and agenda for decades, and moreso this cycle.

I remember a story about a Red Sox gathering of retired players; a young intern was making up name tags, and Bill Monbouquette ended up walking around with “Bill Mublecat” on his jacket all night.

I think the new Stealth Lefties should be referred to as the Mublecrats.

Here are some campaign signs seen recently in Morgan Hill, CA. There appears to be a syndrome going around this campaign season. For lack of a better term, I call it PAAS, Party Affiliation Amnesia Syndrome. (The main-stream media suffers from it as well, particularly when a Democrat finds his butt in hot water.)

Yep, it's the Democrats all right:

The governor and lt. governor candidates appear to be running as independonts:

These guys seem to be as well:

Congressman McNerney (lower right) seems to be afflicted with the same condition while Mr. Alejo, for some reason, appears to have been immune:

Sorry, I can’t quite make it through this run-on paragraph. Does your keyboard have a return key?

Now I know the libs are in trouble. A couple of months ago I had called Congressman Andrews office of Camden County, NJ. I wanted information about how many times he has visited the people of Camden city within a year. I was rudely responded to by his Camden County Office, told that information was not available by his Washington Office, and then hung up on by his Washington Office after a second attempt to get information. This is a man who has had the worst city in the Country under his leadership for the last 20 years and can not name a date in the last year that he went to talk to the people. It is an arrogance against a certain group of people whose votes are taken for granted. Mr. Andrews has always thought of his seat safe and only lightly campaigns. This morning I got a knock on the door from a campaign representative for Mr. Andrews (the same Andrew’s office that hung up on me just a couple months prior). In my 18 years of living in Camden County never have I had Mr. Andrews campaign come to my door. If Mr. Andrews is nervous over his seat in a heavily, heavily democrat electorate, the DNC better prepare for the new meaning of Fall. The democrat seats that will fall imo is going to be history making.

In my area of NY, there is a dem congressman that must be very worried about losing the election. I am a registered conservative and he is trying for my vote. I think the landslide will be huge this year.

In Massachusetts, dominated by Dems, for years Republicans had to leave the R-word off signs (prob still do) because of the demonization of the GOP here.

In the Scott Brown race, the Dems ran an ad asking “Who is Scott Brown? A Republican... who will Republican vote
Republican in Republican lockstep with the Republican party. In times like these we can’t afford a Republican like
Scott Brown.”

For the two people in the state who didn’t know Brown
was a Republican, apparently.

Now this year the word Democrat hardly if ever appears
on signs or literature. Wonder why? (A local Dem party
office near me has signs for various candidates but there’s
only one sign, in the corner, for the re-election of
Deval Patrick, our Dem gov. He is very unpopular but could well get in thanks to a straw candidate ex-Dem and some on the right who feel the GOP nominee, Baker, is a RINO. Anyway
they almost seem to be...hiding...the governor from
the office...)
