I beleive the -11% spread was overall, or “R/D”. Last I heard, the “I” were breaking for O’donnell at +8%.
Paperdoll, people these days referring to the “ruling class” are probably referring to this piece by Angelo Codevilla: http://spectator.org/archives/2010/07/16/americas-ruling-class-and-the/print
“Rush said he hopes ODonnell gets $2MM”
I love how some of the RINOs were telling DeMint to ‘put his money where his mouth is’ on this race, and acting like the 42 grand or whatever they gave was this huge gift to her...Well, RINOs do you hear the people now!!??
“The Architect of Bushs domestic policies, Education, Medicare Prescription, massive spending explosion.
The architect of the VERY things which drove his approval down.”
—Yep. And the whole time the great Reagan-1994 Revolution template was left by the wayside...
Rove was upset that O'Donnell's defeat of Castle is what put the Senate out of reach of Republicans. However, if Rove had waited just two more days for Rasmussen's Washington state poll to come out, Rove would have learned that Patty Murray surged ahead of Dino Rossi, also taking Washington away from Republicans and putting the Senate TWO seats down.
So, here we are at the end of the week where Rove could blame EITHER Rossi or O'Donnell for "losing" the Senate.
It's not all on O'Donnell's shoulders anymore.

“So, here we are at the end of the week where Rove could blame EITHER Rossi or O’Donnell for “losing” the Senate.”
That’s true. But to Rove and crew, highlighting Rossi- the guy who beat Diddier (the more conservative primary candidate)- being behind so much against Murray, wouldn’t have fit with the narrative...
...When you pick the moderate guy according to them- you supposedly win, and when you don’t appear to have a shot with the moderate choice...you quietly sweep that under the rug and throw a temper tantrum about any conservative candidates losing in a poll in order to distract everybody. (Most conservatives and sensible people for instance know that Palin for the VP nom was the only bright spot in McCain’s prez run, and the only time he took the lead...but to the Steve Schmidt types, who did they attack almost as soon as she was picked...?)
That’s my theory about them anyway. :-)
Rove was arguing that O'Donnell was not "electable." Supposedly, Dino Rossi WAS electable, according to Rove.
So we now have "electable" Dino Rossi losing 7% against Patty Murray since the last Rasmussen poll and turning a +2% advantage into a -5% loss in just a few weeks, which blows away any credibility that Rove can call ANYONE "electable."
That's why he should have known better to speak the way he did. Given the Rossi poll, I hope Rove has a change of tune and gets on his knees and apologizes for his lack of faith.

So, the precious and coddled independent voters actuall prefer a “crazy conservative” like O’Donnell? Looks like the conventional wisdom is wrong again. Oh BTW, you can’t elect anyone but a RINO in a blue state. (sarc)
“The bottom line is, the GOP elites think we’re weak and dumb...it’s the exact same arrogance that the dem elites have for Americans. “
That can be true. I did some volunteer work a few years ago and got to see some heavy hitters in the GOP. Some of them are genuinely fine people, but there are also plenty who think of themselves as being some sort of royalty. Access to power can make people believe that they are something other than regular mortals. They think they are a natural ruling class.
What we are witnessing against O’Donnell is the outrage that elites feel at having peasants intrude into what they consider their rightful position of privilege.
That is exactly what I'm seeing, and what they fail to grasp is that the Tea party folks are paying attention, and they're seeing the same things I'm seeing and you've stated.
Exactly. And they aren't necessarily moderates either, as seems to be the assumption.
I think a lot of independents are conservatives (like me) who are fed up with BOTH the major parties.
The biggest problem in Delaware seems to be that Democrats are comfortable with the classless pond scum that abound in the Democrat Party nationwide.
I started to try to do a Reader’s Digest version for you but couldn’t do it justice. The Daily Caller did interview the author though, where he covers some of the highlights.
I think you can make it through this one without starving to death:
10 questions with The Ruling Class author Angelo M. Codevilla
Wow! Thank you, though I could afford to lose a few, pounds, that is! :)
The article made me think of how my Boston Terrier is always at my heels, and does not go through a doorway before e! I am Alpha Dog to my Boston Terrier!
The Ruling Class considers themselves as “Alpha Dog”, and the country as “The Pack”!
The Ruling Class is definitely in Satan denial! After all, if they were FEDucated in the last 60 years, they absorbed “Values Clarification”! So dumbed down by that FEDucation, they do not consider any deferential between good and evil, so the two are interchangeable according top one’s purpose! Thus these people consider themselves the Ruling Class, rather than in all reality they are nothing but Satan’s pawns!
Yes, there is a God, Virginia! The fear of God is essential in regaining our God given rights as declared in our divinely inspired early documents! The sooner we fear Him, the more successful our battle with Satan will become!
