We pay half of the medical payments for our health insurance and more than 8.5% for our retirement. This is a nice start for N.Jerseyans and if the unions there don’t know what a great deal this is, they should look at others’ plans.

He is a fiscal conservative, he is bold, not afraid to speak his mind, and he argues his case well. We need more people like him in leadership positions.

I may not agree with all of his opinions on other matters, but, frankly there are very few people in the world who would agree with all of my positions.

Did you see the story about NJ state employees lining up at the Retirement Office in Trenton? They get there before dawn, and the line stretches around the block.

They want to "Get Theirs" while the "Getting" is good.

Chris Christie gets it -- and he didn't need the Tea Party to inspire him.

I don't know about others, but I only voted for Christie because I thought that would be the most effective means of expressing my displeasure with the Obama Administration. There is no "Tea Party." There are just a lot of people who share this extreme displeasure. (I was even at a meeting with about 200 of them last night! This is not some sort of third party in any way shape or form.) Christie may not be inspired by it, but he almost certainly became Governor here because of it.
