You know, I have no brief for Michelle Obama. However, I see no good reason for Mrs. Sarkozy to blab something that wasn’t the kind of thing you want published in a book. Mrs. Sarkozy doesn’t need the money or publicity, and someone might decide to write a tell-all about her one day, and she will have no standing to complain.
Wonder if Michelle insulted Carla in some way and this is just payback.

My understanding is that when you are queen, or first lady, or some other female political figure-head, there is a certain amount of grace, a certain air of dignity and an ability to carry on without complaining and all the while keeping a smile on your face that you are expected to have to be in that position.
Mrs Obama has demonstrated by her words to Mrs. Sarkozy (Carla Bruni) that she has none of those social graces, no dignity and no respect.
I do not think that Mr and Mrs. Obama were at all ready for this job.
I think that the heads of states from other nations quickly read them for what they are - not being in anywhere near the same class as other heads of state, and that they are in fact insulted by the attitudes and behaviors of Mr and Mrs Obama.
So in my opinion... Damn right Carla Bruni (and who knows how many others) are probably by now quite pissed at Mr. and Mrs. Obama's attitudes, lack of social skills and discipline to be in the position of Mr and Mrs President of the United States.
Finally, someone comes forward with something to say openly and what is really thought about Mr and Mrs Obama. Good for Carla Bruni (Mrs. Sarkozy) for telling it.
