Report: National Republican Senatorial Committee Wont Fund Christine ODonnell (Updated)
by Colby Hall | 10:35 pm, September 14th, 2010
Earlier tonight Christine ODonnell was declared the winner of the Republican Senate primary in Delaware over heavy favorite Mike Castle. Since ODonnell was viewed as the Tea Party candidate endorsed by Sarah Palin, with little chance of winning in the general election in November, this race had shaped up as a the GOP establishment versus the Tea Party Republicans. In fact, just last night Charles Krauthammer called a vote for ODonnell as irresponsible. Well according to a recent report, it turns out that the establishment in this case the NRSC wont be funding ODonnells campaign.
Oh, yes they will. They don’t know it yet, but they will.
Where do we call or write? I looked at the NRNC website and nar a link to even drop them a line or call!!!
Throw out the Republican establishment!
RINOs gotta go!
No corporate welfare and wealth distribution. No cap and tax and pro aborts
Get the heck out of OUR party!!!
And that is why they lose!
Lameass republican RINOs.
Don’t worry we’ll get around to taking care of you too just like we are targeting dems in this election cycle just give us time.
We are taking names and we won’t be forgetting or forgiving.
You can run RINOs but you can’t hide.
How do we contact these jackasses? I don’t see a contact link on the NRSC site.
what is wrong with her?
I think you are right... They will get with the program or lose more funding and continue their banal ways...
Fornicate the national party. Next time around we start at the precinct level and let it roll up. Time to clean house at the top.
I will let the NRSC know I am tired or their status-quo, good-old-boy club choices. I choose the directly fund the candidates of my choosing.
At this point, I'm pretty sure that's kinda on purpose. Who is in charge of this NRSC mess? That's what I wanna know.
They know what's coming ...
Good counterpunch, counterpunch.
Instead of contributing to the Republican Party, we will send our donation to Christine O’Donnell’s campaign. There is NO excuse for a national party to be this clueless.

CORNYN OF TEXAS
Don't forget who's behind this decision.
CORNYN OF TEXAS
Love it, Counterpunch.
I’ve been sending contributions directly to Conservatives for a long time.
Any national GOP orgs are suspect....and now this one might as well fold up their tables and go home..for all the $ they will see coming into their coffers.
You know what makes me so mad? The Democrat Party left me at LBJ and every since I have fought for Republican candidates, hoping and hoping and hoping that things would be different this time.
Many friends said there is no difference between the party's. I kept saying Oh yes there is, well I have been DUPED. I guess I really knew it all along, but kept hoping against hope and was double crossed every time.
I don't take kindly to being DOUBLE CROSSED, and your right, I WILL NEVER FORGET, never.
What do you expect the NRSC to do? Fund a race in DE where the candidate is down by double-digits or pour money into a competitive race in WA, CA, NV, WI or IL?
It’s a no-brainer. If O’Donnell closes the gap a bit, the money will pour back into DE.
Not a damn thing. The desperate, leftist, moonbat, Maddow crowd will be pimping some old 'masturbation' tapes. Listen to it and try to disagree with O'Donnell's points.

Lot’s of people will be eating crow.
The Republican establishment will be in for a shock.
O.K. folks, send the lady some money! If she gets enough 5 and 10 buck donations she won’t miss their stinking money!
Any republican RINO or democrat who ignores the message throughout this entire primary season does so at their own peril.
Yep, I have been saving my money for this signal out of the NRSC so I would know where my money is really needed.
Nothing like a non-endorsement from NRSC to make me donate money. Works like a charm.
The RINOs STILL don’t get it.
Interesting that they wouldn't want any comments!
They got ticked when Bennett hit the road
(they grumbled and made excuses)
They bitched when some incumbent congressmen got whacked
(the “cost of doing business” they said)
They got pissed when Crist started to get whipped by Rubio
(dang it)
They panic when Murkowski got pushed over the cliff
(those stupid tea party/Sarah wackos)
Now that the Castle has been sacked, THEY DECLARED WAR ON THE CONSERVATIVE BASE.
UPDATE: Christine ODonnell: Im Not Counting On The NRSC To Win - Video
(scroll down)
Just WoW! Thank you, Lord, for the stirrings of righteousness we see in the hearts and souls of the American people.
Thank you!
This image popped into my head when I thought about what the tea party is doing to GOP establishment...
Sounds like it - or she can score the loot on her own. 55 days left - right?
You know what, NRSC? I’ve got considerable bucks to back my candidates, and the bucks will most certainly not be flowing thru the frigging NRSC, or the NRC, or anything resembling the discredited, unprincipled, gaggle of jolly good fellows supposedly representing the Republican party (boo hoo). Fie! Done with ya!
This is the email I sent
Dear Sir,
It has come to my attention that the NRSC has decided not to contribute to the O’Donnell campaign. As a longtime Republican, I find this to be a dispictable act.
It shows your elitism and failure to understand that the grassroots of this nation are determined to take back this government from the political elitists who think the seats are their’s by right.
As I live in Texas, neither my wife nor myself will ever be voting for Senator Cornyn again. Nor, we will be sending any money to any Republican national organization.
If you want to declare war on the People, who fairly won an election against a career politican, so be it. We are prepared for it.
Silence, RINO.
You and your little buddies at the Christine thread were run out of town on a rail.
Rhetorically.
Next time, it will be for real.
You have to wonder about their loyalty and who is calling the shots to make such a ridiculous decision. It also undermines the positive momentum of this win. Kind of like Rove being so negative this evening. What is wrong with these people? Do they want to keep the Obama agenda and let our country continue to crumble?
The tea party will help. Conservatives will donate. She doesn't necessarily need RNSC money. However, if the race closes, they will inject more cash and buy ads. You can count on that.
I’m pretty sure DeMint’s group supported her...I think he is a senator last i looked.
Next time we receive mail from the ‘NRSC’ asking for contributions send back a message as, “No $$ for RINO’s but have some tea instead”. Include a tea bag in the envelope or just the outer paper label.
>>What do you expect the NRSC to do? Fund a race in DE where the candidate is down by double-digits or pour money into a competitive race in WA, CA, NV, WI or IL?
No brainer or not, the way NRSC is doing it, they won’t see that much money to pour into any race they want to help to have a competitive edge.
Perhaps it’s time that the current NRSC members joined Mssrs Castle and Specter in the political bread line, eh?

Good point. NRSC could have said they would review her campaign to determine how they could best help. They did not do this. She had best not count on NRSC money under any circumstances. The plus will be thanking the voters not the NRSC suck ups for her win.
I take exception to you calling me a RINO. There’s a difference between being a RINO and a realist and you darn well know that.
I live in the real world, not some Democratic-inspired fantasyland. The RNSC has finite aka not limitless resources. There are probably 10 or so marginal races that are in play for the Republicans.
Would you rather have money thrown into a campaign where it could make the difference (e.g. a close race like WA or CA or IL or NV) or would you rather throw your money on what appears to be a longshot (O’Donnell is down by 10 points).
What’s the more responsible move for the good of the party there?
If the race in DE tightens (and it may), the RNSC will start pouring money in there. Period. Until then, resources are better directed elsewhere.
Perhaps its time that the current NRSC members joined Mssrs Castle and Specter in the political bread line, eh?This is exactly why they will be sabotaging the GOP nominees.
