Funny you should mention that. My Mom, who's in her 70’s (and taught me the ‘right’ way to think) was glued to the TV when LiLo was getting sentenced, released, etc. I'm like, “Mom, WTH?”

Her reply: “I can't take the politics anymore, so I'll watch Lohan. She was cute in ‘The Parent Trap.’”

Her viewing habits have gone from FNC to mush like E! and Showbiz Tonight.

The whole of politics is so wholly caustic, that it's turning people off.
