There are deep under currents of severe mistrust of Islam throughout all sections of this country.
Islam needs to understand that the government not fight back the rape attempt by Islam but the US population will.
Scaregoat
That's right and I am happy to see it. The only thing Muslims understand and respect is brute force and I think it's time they start seeing it from the citizens of America.
the headline writer/ Ass.Press left out the words “isolated extremists”
I wonder what the underwear bomber amd major nidal are doing today?
The so-called religion of peace is actually 1.5 billion human shields not yet called up to active duty, and serving very well in their passive duty of looking like innocent moderates whom we’d be terribly wrong to attack...or even distrust.
If not for the human shields — ie, the civilian population of “peaceful muslims” we’d be occupying Riyadh and Tehran by now, and their oilfields too. (If not for the oil wealth going to their heads, they wouldn’t be a serious world problem at all.)
But we must avoid “collateral damage.” It’s sacred, that collateral stuff. No touch!

The overfly of Manhattan by Air Force 1 with the military escort made three passes. One of the comments from an article I read: I, too, was outside on the JC waterfront, just below Exchange Place, when I heard a loud screech. It almost sounded like a missile or rocket (but was probably just the fighter plane, on further relection). Out on the pier, you always see helicopters flying up and down the river, and the occasional small plane a little higher, but this was different. A few seconds later, we look up to see a very low flying jumbo jet with a fighter in what appeared to be a chase position (BTW, there are no markings or insignia on the BOTTOM of that plane). We looked down the street to see it banking south over Jersey City before disappearing behind the buildings. Emergency landing at Newark Airport, maybe, I thought? Then a minute or two later, it comes around again, from the south, down around the Verazano Bridge. We didnt see it coming in until it was almost right on top of us and started banking right around the Goldman building. It was damn close! People had come out of the buildings and started running north along the pier, thinking it was going to crash, and I cant say I blame them for thinking so. It was somewhat chaotic, to say the least!

The date of the overfly was April 27, 2009.
April 27, 2009, was 204 years to the 1st day of the battle of Derna (or Derne). The Battle of Derna is considered the turning point of the First Barbary War, which we have immortalized in these words: ...to the shores of Tripoli. Those words are from the Marines Hymn.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Derna
The battle began at approximately 2:45 pm local time.
The victory that day (reaffirmed twice until mid-May, after repulsing efforts to retake the city) marked the first time the US flag flew over a foreign battlefield.

Louis Caldera took responsibility for the Manhattan flyover of AF1 and resigned.

Louis Caldera was Director of the White House Military Office from January 20, 2009, until May 22, 2009, and served as the 17th United States Secretary of the Army from July 2, 1998 until January 20, 2001.

I believe what New York and we witnessed on 4/27/2009, was the symbolic reenactment of the battle of Derna @ Tripoli, in reverse, complete with 3 passes over the site, and, the 'planting' of the flag by a foreigner in command on uS soil, perhaps with a sighting for the mihrabs location at the GZ mosque. At the direction and with the support of the sitting President of the United States, as evidenced by presence and actions of an Air Force One 747.
The 'Won.' The Proud. The Base. ('Al Qaeda').
True or not, this is what the media is going to focus on.
As do I! Those were the words that hit me as I read this screed.
Same here.
The thoughts I'm having are difficult to express. 911....I was in a parking lot in SE Mass and a whole lot of airliners were circling Boston low and the fighters zoomed over from Cape Cod. Everyone was kind of stunned, it was a gorgeous day when it seemed like the world was finally getting it right and out of nowhere, the sky changed. A UPS driver said...go to a radio or TV....it looks like the US is under attack!
Everyone's lives changed that day. We all felt heartsick and disgusted, as much at our government for being as asleep about security as we were about the nuts who were in the country illegally and did us harm. What we really wanted is to make the US safer from within...that hasn't happened.
So, here's what I'm saying that's going to sound un-American. Thousands of people died that day. But astronomically greater numbers of people, globally, have died since then because of 911. Shouldn't all those sacrifices since then be honored, too? And shouldn't someone maybe suspect that the anger directed at building mosques and burning Korans is really because we're losing the US from within? And not just to Muslim extremists.
Writing that felt good.
As far as I’m concerned anyone who burned a koran yesterday was an american hero.
Yes, these protestors are risking their lives to make their point about this religion of violence.
Wrong target, SkyPilot. Article is from the AFP (Agence France-Presse) news agency, as is clearly stated - not the AP (Associated Press) wire.... I’ll grant you that that AP wishes that they had this article.
I believe Mr. Beacham and his group would have made better use of their time spreading the Gospel of Christ to a lost and dying world. You know, The Great Commision? Ripping pages out of the Koran does not accomplish that. Its nothing but sound and fury, signifying nothing.
If people do not step up and point out the evils of Islam, no one will have the chance to spread the Gospel of Christ.
I do not think that adopting a siege mentality was what I wanted. I wanted and still want to take the war to the enemy whoever and wherever they are. I want the enemy eradicated from the face of the earth...

I think we honor the dead better by completely destroying the enemy. The "anger directed at building mosques and burning Korans is" in my opinion maybe frustration with a government that is seen more appeasing and tolerating components of the enemy that confronting it to some degree. Of course, this may just be perception as the government wages on the one hand very little if any media campaign against the enemy while on the other hand waging a media campaign of toleration.
In essence we need to see more focus on the enemy and less focus on toleration. You are what you focus on -the country supports the war on terror initiated with the attacks on 9/11. The country does not need the campaign for toleration that the war on terror has morphed into. America is the most tolerant nation in the world. America was attacked on 9/11 and it was a wakeup call for freedom -not a muslim toleration call...
