Chris Matthews and Howard Fineman on Friday had a mutual Obamagasm while cameras rolled on MSNBC's "Hardball."
As the adorable couple chatted about the Koran burning scandal, and of course blamed the entire controversy on Republicans such as House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Oh.), former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, and former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, the Newsweek columnist unashamedly started the love-fest.
"Well, sitting there in the press conference today with President Obama, you could almost hear sort of the classical music in the background," cooed Fineman. "It was a stately thing, and a mature discussion."
"I get you," echoed Matthews. "This is an Oxford don, he's so well-turned, he comes in there elegantly, presenting himself elegantly, presenting himself on a very high-level tone."
One imagines both of these so-called journalists needed a cigarette and a shower during the break (video follows with transcript and commentary):

Forget content. Forget depth. Forget meaning. He loves Obama because he has this flowing, melifluous voice that spouts pre-written soundbites.
It’s all about the STYLE with which things are said—forget the content. Chrissy and Howard just want to bask in the glow of the upper class, our lordly Harvard-educated rulers, not like that yucky George W who ate barbecue.
I’ve met so many liberals like this here in Boston, who can quote chapter and verse about the freakin Kennedy’s and casually dismiss all their crimes. Chrissy is just like that—all about the trappings of the rich who have POWER, while he claims to be for The Little People.

Fro crying out loud! Matthews needs to start wearing makeup and a dress. Seriously, this is the ruling class mindset: they propped Obama up because he was the right puppet - well-turned, elegant, high-level toned. All style and definitely no substance.

The Koran burning story put the media in a panic well the can come out of the cave now that it isn’t being aired.
Exactly. I remember about a year ago, Matthews commented on how he loves having certain books on his shelf so that friends who come over will be impressed.
