Intelligence operatives must agree to “obtain permission to publish” from the feds prior to even gaining access to classified information.

The DIA or CIA has to sign off on books, and I would be interested in how they handle “bloggers”, when the author is recounting activities related to classified operations and operatives.
At one time, I was restricted from publishing anything about my activities (without DIA consent) untill 20 years after my death.
I believe the newer contracts have less stringent time frames, but they still would certainly require DIA/CIA overview for minimum of 10 years after the “action”.

The feds can't legally stop Mr. Wikileaker.
They can, and should IMHO, punish the original “source” to the fullest extent of the UCMJ. Which does include execution.
