Republican Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger on Thursday announced the start of a new website intended to help Californians find jobs in green industries.

The website, called Clean Energy Jobs, provides resources to promote jobs in areas such as recycling, clean transportation and renewable energy.

The website lists 48 programs that provide training for green jobs, offered through organizations such as community colleges, local workforce investment boards and private industries. In a written statement, the governor said the website's purpose is to highlight "how the state's community colleges and workforce investment boards, labor unions, and employers are working to meet the demand for trained workers."

"The site is a showcase for the training program in which government and private industry are coming together to make our state a leader in the new, sustainable economy," Schwarzenegger said. "This program represents the kind of innovative thinking needed to steer our economy toward a greener future, while doing everything possible to help Californians return to work."

One more reason Schwarzenegger should never have been elected. People with no engineering background in energy hoping the unicorn is going to poop its magical energy Skittles any day now -- if only we "train" enough people. Free markets always produce enough trained labor. If there's demand and the pay is attractive, people will naturally flock to an industry. These types of programs and sites speak to the losing nature of mythical "green" energy.

I thought Kalifornia had plenty of green jobs. Isn’t that what unemployment is?

Lets see - “green” means money; green means envy and now, green means Politically Correct Environmentalism, or PEE, for the acronym.

They’re both State destroyers. Little Obamas.

Huh? Where’d I get that? It’s PCE. Shucks. That doesn’t have the same ring. Oh well.

Proof that Arnold doesn’t possess one brain cell that’s functioning and neither does anyone downtown in Sacramento!!! The State of CA is bankrupt, stores and entire malls are closing everywhere, companies are packing up and leaving the sinking ship that was CA, and he’s worried about green jobs, light bulbs, and plastic bags at the grocery store. Lunatics and airheads are running the asylum!!!

The Governator and the CA Assembly are living in la la land. The ship California is sinking and they’re checking out the menu and what the show will be like they were on a cruise ship.

And don’t forget the fines introduced this week for not having enough air in your tires! It is a result of the stupid “global warming” legislation, AB32. We are truly “governed” by idiot Lilliputians. The things these people can spend their time on while the whole state is going down the tubes is breathtaking.
