The Pastor should use the leverage he has right now to ban the US Military from burning Bibles of any language. If not, he should call the Korans he's burning propaganda, and that's the only thing he's burning. If the Bible is nothing more than propaganda than there is no such thing as a Holy book.

If I were this pastor...I would not be doing this. I am speaking as a SBC pastor...but that's just me. At this stage in the game, however, this is what I think I would do since every TV camera will be there (or something along these lines):

With match in hand...blow it out and say...

1) I would like to point out the Hypocrisy of Obama and Petraeus saying that burning these Korans would put American troops in harms way. Simply point out that the ROE's that Petraeus and the Obama administration have placed on our troops put their lives at much greater risk than burning a book.

2) I would like to point out that Obama fumbled all over himself DEFENDING the building of a Mosque because of the 1st amendment...and that the left is willing to die for their first amendment right to burn the American flag...yet...they are losing their collective minds over the fact a group of citizens want to exercise THEIR first amendment rights to burn a book that teaches hate and violence.

3) I would like to point out the differences between Christianity and the religion of pieces. I would like to point out what Grace and Mercy is...and how Islam has None...and THIS is why we are not doing this. We are NOT doing this...even though OUR OWN GOVERNMENT BURNED BIBLES in Afghanistan at the insistence of Muslims. Now...considering THEY BURNED BIBLES...our own government...and YOU in the media were silent...YOU ignored it...yet somehow you are all here when we dare light a match to a Koran? I ask you to search your own souls.

Why didn't you give those bibles that were burned by our own people at the INSISTANCE of Muslims the same media coverage that you are giving one small church in Florida?

What's wrong with this administration...and what is wrong with our culture? The hypocrisy is nauseating. If I were to say prayer for America...I'm sure someone...somewhere would run to a judge to file a lawsuit to violate my first amendment rights....but build a Mosque at Ground Zero and question that? YOU WILL BE INVESTIGATED!
