Gov. Chris Christie Endorses Mike Castle for U.S. Senate (RINOs close ranks)
Vanity ^ | 09/02/2010 | Brices Crossroads

Posted on 09/02/2010 9:36:58 PM PDT by Brices Crossroads

Christine O'Donnell must really have Mike Castle and the GOP Establishment on the run, because yesterday they wheeled out one of the major elephants in the Establishment, N.J. Governor Christopher Christie to endorse Castle. Christie praised Castle as an "extraordinary representative for Delaware and our Republican Party" and that "New Jersey was trying to do the things that Castle has been doing for a long time like controlling spending and getting government out of the peoples' way" Christie urged all Delaware voters who believe in "smaller, smarter Government to support Mike Castle". Smaller government as in Cap and Tax? Smaller Government as in TARP? Smaller government as in federal funding for abortion? Smarter government as in "Cash for Clunkers? Smaller government as in the 182 Billion dollar Obama stimulus? Smarter government as in the Auto Bailouts? "Getting government out of our way" as in the anti-First Amendment Disclose Act? All of which (and more) Castle voted for. Is Christie ignorant of all this? Or does he think we are? He insults the intelligence of every conservative in America by such blatant falsehoods.

The video takes 1:09 to watch. I advise that you not watch it on a full stomach. Whoever managed to retain a modicum of respect for Christie after he attacked the opponents of the Ground Zero Mosque for "playing politics" will lose it after they see this, one of the most toadying lickspittle performance in the annals of forensic sycophancy. Even Castle appeared to be embarassed by the sheer hyperbole of the lies.

As much as I loathe Mike Castle, you’re just being funny when you call Chris Christie a RINO. He’s a social and economic conservative, strict constructionist, who acted with such speed and severity cutting the size of government in a blue, blue state that he’s left the state’s union officials sputtering public death threats.

I’ve heard that Castle is far more liberal than even most RINO’s! ......I don’t think that Sarah is going to get involve in this one as meaning supporting O’Donnell because of her “issues” in the past, correct me if I’m wrong thought I’m not so knowledgeable about her.

Endorsements don’t matter. At least that’s what the pundits say.

Perhaps in this case an endorsement matters because of what it does NOT say, which is Christine O’Donnell is catching fire like Joe Miller did and Castle needs reinforcements to hold on.

Is Christine electable in November? Rasmussen had her up over Coons in July

Castle is being challenged in the state’s September 14 GOP primary by conservative activist Christine O’Donnell. Coons runs virtually even with O’Donnell who picks up 41% of the vote to the Democrat’s 39%.

I’m afraid that Gov. Christie has now officially jumped the shark by endorsing Castle, the Democrat.

Too bad....I thought he had a future in the new wave of conservative politics sweeping the country.

Christie says he wasnt to do to New Jersey exactly what Castle has done to the United States. He says Castle is an exemplar of “smaller, smarter government” ROTFLOL. Give me a break. Either he is stupid or mendacious. take your pick. No economic conservative pushes a “cap and taxer” like Castle. And no social conservative pushes a proabort like castle over a prolife candidate.

If Christie is the best New Jersy can do, then they are in a helluva mess. And yes, he is a RINO based upon his support of the uber RINO Castle and his effete elitist comments on the GZM.

Christie is reportedly doing a pretty good job of straightening things out in NJ. But why does he have to spill his guts in regard to matters in another state; and IN FAVOR of a Rino, yet?!

That’s my concern as well. I think Sarah should take a look at those issues, and decide that it’s still the right thing to endorse. It’s likely a very complicated calculation. Her bio isn’t Joe Millers - pure, unquestioned heroism, as far as we’ve heard.

But Murkowski isn’t anywhere near as bad as Castle.

There is no question that we want O’Donnell as the Senator.

Cristie is a big Springsteen fan and also supports the 9/11 Victory Mosque in NYC.

I used to like the guy a lot but he is looking RINO. I am probably a distant relative to him as well. However, anyone who is a mega Springsteen fan is an idiot. Christie has supposedly seen hundreds (yes hundreds) of Springsteen concerts.

"New Jersey was trying to do the things that Castle has been doing for a long time like controlling spending and getting government out of the peoples' way"

That's a much different Mike Castle than I am familiar with...

Thanks a lot, creepo. You can always count on these establishment Republicans to support each other.

Just another reason to show Castle the door.

Castle makes Murkowski look like Jim Demint.

when is the primary? there might be time for Sarah to change her mind...becuase Sarah can do one thing and that’s give that extra push over the line for many candidates

Christie has done a good job. Maybe there’s some coded signal in his endorsement indicating that he’s only kidding, like when soldiers are captured by the enemy and forced to say things they don’t believe.

Politicians might be forced to support the RINO, but in 2010, regular civilian conservatives don’t. This is a year to elect conservatives, because the people hate what Obama has done so much.

Disappointing. Remove from potential POTUS list.

Christie is fiscal conservative for New Jersey. I don’t know about him on the other issues. What we have here looks like another of the usual incestuous incumbents in the party backing of a RINO.

Tuesday, September 14. Sarah might be waiting for the exact right time. This race just started getting hot less than a week ago when the Tea Party Express said it would be spending $ in Delaware.

The Castle/Media strategy was to pretend that there was no election, keep turnout low.

Castle wasn’t planning on airing ads, attacking Christine, etc. So, boom, you have all this activity.

You see Christines ads? They’re up on Youtube. They’re effective. A voter sees those, and there will be no doubt in their mind that Castle is a Liberal. And that Christine is a Conservative.

He belonged on the POTUS list about as much as Scott Brown ever did. We ought to be able to support Blue State Pubbies without losing our heads over them.
