SOMEONE/Tea Party/Freepers should listen in to what candidates promise the unions.
Suggestions:
1. Attend the meeting. If it is not open to the public, demand the invited candidates demand the meeting be opened else not attend. Let the world know who refuses.
2. Obtain a copy of the form questionnaire.
3. Obtain copies of the completed questionnaires, to find out what the candidates are saying. If these cannot be obtained from the union reps, demand them of the candidates. If the candidates refuse, inform the public via emails, letters to the editor, etc. which candidates are having secret meetings with union representatives.
4. If you do get into the meeting, ask the union reps what cities they live in. More than likely, they are not residents of the cities they want to influence.
I voted for a Repub in a state primary. There were two guys and I voted for the guy who had NO union backing. He won and it was the right choice. After the election, I found out his opponent had some sleazy connections.
Interesting. Thanks for the heads-up.
Me too. Good question to get answered.
