JERUSALEM, Aug. 29 (UPI) -- Washington is funding an ad campaign in Israel that features billboards of Palestinian officials asking: "We are partners -- what about you?"

The campaign launched Sunday includes the faces of senior Palestinian Authority officials Saeb Erekat, Jibril Rajoub, Yasser Abed Rabo and Riad Malki, the Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yedioth Aharonoth said.

The aim of the campaign is to persuade Israelis that peace partners on the Palestinian side truly exist, and calls to support a two-state solution, the report said.

The U.S. government was approached to fund the campaign by the Geneva Initiative founders, who drew up an agreement in 2003 to end the Israel Palestinian conflict, the report said.

The United States Agency for International Development, or USAID, invested close to $250,000 toward the creation of the billboards, the paper said.

The campaign has raised a few eyebrows in Israel.

"We are talking about a Palestinian Authority campaign funded by the American government," an Israeli Foreign Ministry official was quoted saying.

So I guess the next time somebody complains about foreign government lobbying in this country, that government will be able to point to this ad campaign as their inspiration.

This ill-considered "ad" campaign (really a tendentious propaganda campaign) will succeed only in reconfirming the contempt felt by the majority of Israeli Jews for Caliph B. Hussein Obozo. Viewed against the backdrop of the otherwise magnificent panorama of American history, the regime of B. Hussein Obozo is an horrific aberration, a danger to American people as well as to Jews the world over. It is reminiscent of a terrible nightmare. Let the day quickly come when Obozo and his evil and ignorantly puerile enablers are voted out of office.

Geneva Initiative? These are a handful of extremists who want to run up the white flag and give away the entire store for nothing. The so-called Initiative was still born seven years ago and this is the first anyone has heard of it since. The far-left Meretz party which dreamed this up used to have a respectable l0 seats on average in the Knesset. Now they are down to three (out of 120). And this who the US taxpayer is funding?
