CHICAGO—Former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich's retrial will begin early next year, well after the midterm Congressional elections this fall.
Federal Judge James Zagel said Thursday he would set a retrial date for early January. The trial wouldn't begin any earlier than Jan. 4, Judge Zagel said, but he didn't set a specific date.
The retrial date was discussed after federal prosecutors announced they would not retry the former governor's brother, Robert Blagojevich. The Nashville, Tenn., businessman had been accused of scheming with his brother to sell or trade an appointment to President Barack Obama's old Senate seat and to squeeze people for campaign donations.
A jury last week was deadlocked on the four counts against Robert Blagojevich and on 23 of 24 counts against the former governor.

Why not JJJ indictment or ethics committee movement. For some reason they do NOT want him to be a convicted felon before he testifies. Setting up some kind of plea bargain?
Remember if they convict any of his friends (Or Moochelle ‘s relatives), BO will just pardon, unless...he's going through impeachment or indictment himself. It's all in the timing.....tic tic tic
