Imam Rauf is the middleman between Obama and the Saudis across the board. Obama is personally interested in getting a mosque up near Ground Zero or he wouldn't have bothered to open his mouth on the subject. Imam Rauf is gathering up the money and one way or another, while he's still in office or thereafter, Obama will get a slice of that money. Obama went to Cairo and gave a speech wherein he said this was a nation of "non-believers". Not Christians or non-Muslims, but the proper Islamic term for anyone not Muslim, non-believers. He made the trip and gave the speech at about the same time he was proposing that 9/11 become National Service Day or some such with celebrations of that day held at the Ground Zero site on a regular basis.
In other words, he was promising the Saudis he bowed to that he would defuse the simmering anger at the WTC attack still widespread in this country. Given that he couldn't get National Service Day to stick very well he did what he always does and doubled down, agreeing to make sure an Islamic mosque could be built there just as mosques have been built at the site of other Muslim victories throughout history. Even the name Cordoba is an obvious reference to Islamic victory for Muslims to see while it can be framed as representing wonderful understanding and tolerance to those same non-believers Obama regularly lies to on other topics.
Its never a shock for me to find out anything that Obama does is riddled with Islamic overtones and under the table dealings with the Islamic world. Is it really shocking to anyone else?

lunch time laugh...........
not shocking to me
Is there any video or audio of this speech? Was it delivered in English or Arabic?
I assume that Walid Shoebat must have a transcript of the speech by Hussein referenced in this article.
Anyone have a good link?
