Some are going to say the attack, which occurred in Midtown Tuesday evening, is part of a rise in anti-Muslim hate crimes -- and was driven by intemperate rhetoric from opponents of the mosque. But this is a complicated story. For one thing, the alleged attacker, Michael Enright, worked with an organization that very much favors the project. For another, the cabby, Ahmed Sharif, says he's opposed to it -- though Sharif does say that he's worried that debate over the planned project might have played a role in the attack.

It was interesting to watch these ostensible Obama supporters agreeing with one another — NOT! I also love the moment when the Nick Nolte Mug Shot character finally turned away from his fifteen minutes of fame and started to walk away, seeking eye contact with the bystanders — and the hot young woman cringed and turned away.
There are at least two things about this story that do not pass the smell test:
1) How does a “college student” get imbedded with the Marines in Afghanistan?
2) Cabbie is supposedly from Bhutan, of Nepalese descent. Nepal is 80+% Hindu. Yet, he claims to be Mohammedan?
We’ll see just what the REAL facts are.
Certainly you don’t believe the MSM will pollute this story with FACTS!!
