I wonder how much stem cell research is done by private vs publicly funded groups, who is making the most progress, and by embryonic or adult stem cells. Last I heard adult stem cells were proving more valuable, but I have not heard much on the rest of my musings.

Ditto, I mean aside from the tissue rejection issue, the threat of teratomas derived from embryonic stem cells has, to my knowledge, not been resolved. Its all about pushing the idea that a fetus or embryo is not a human. This isn`t one of my issues but if it hampers adult stem cell research then it becomes every one`s issue as thats the most imminently promising avenue we presently have.
