Redford Solicits Donations For Boxer Campaign
Aug 19, 2010 3:09 pm US/Pacific
WASHINGTON (CBS 5 / AP) - Hollywood icon Robert Redford is trying to help Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer raise money for her re-election campaign in a letter championing her efforts on the environment.
The actor and director is a longtime environmental activist who has been a regular donor to Democratic candidates over the years.
He says in an e-mail to potential donors that Boxer, in the wake of the Gulf Coast oil spill, has sought to extend a moratorium on drilling in federal waters along the Pacific Coast. Boxer's opponent, Republican Carly Fiorina, has criticized a permanent ban as shortsighted.
He also took issue with an ad Fiorina ran during the California Republican primary that dismissed Boxer's view that global warming is a national security concern. Fiorina likened that concern to being worried about the weather.

That should finish off her campaign right there. More Redford goofiness -
Robert Redford Blames Cheney for America's 'Failed Energy Policy'
why isnt he demonstrating against the Afghan war?
The real STING.
FURR
“why isnt he demonstrating against the Afghan war?”
Why doesn’t he just STFU and ACT???;)
He says in an e-mail to potential donors that Boxer, in the wake of the Gulf Coast oil spill, has sought to extend a moratorium on drilling in federal waters along the Pacific Coast.
if California would allow drilling off their coast, they would be out of debt in a matter of months
He is trying to parlay a lifetime of disjointed efforts into a harmonic balance. But it isn’t there.
Psalm 127
1Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
Boxer is so widely regarded as THE stupidest member of either house of Congress, that the endorsement makes Redford look ignorant and foolish, n'est ce pas?.
Remember when Robert Redford’s “Sundance Film Festival” showed that film where there was SEX between a MAN and a HORSE?!?
Don’t ever forget...THAT represents Robert Redford.
Two reasons
1. Have you seen is face lately? About the only role that he has any hope of getting cast into would be to play a Sci-Fi alien.
2. Redford hasn't played a major part in any movie in decades, he is a has-been.
The big mystery to me is what has done to his face? He’s had so much work done that he looks like an elderly Asian woman. There should also be a Congressional investigation into why his hairline is noticeably lower than it was in the 1950’s? Is it a wig or have surgeons removed his forehead to smooth out the wrinkles? So many important questions about the issues surrounding Redford.
Too bad. You’d think Redford’s character (Sundance kid) would be a Conservative.
Um..what?
I’d have thought something like that would have been all over the news.
Source please.
According to American reports, the movie veteran went for the plunge after being told by a cinematographer that excess under-eye tissue was interfering with shots of him. One Hollywood surgeon says, "He looks much fresher now. He's also clearly had a mole from his right cheek removed. "
Until then she will have to wait.
My favorite movie of his was “Little Fauss and Big Halsy “.

There’s an enviro profiteer.
Redford has exploited a beautiful wilderness for personal gain.
We get the face we deserve...
I hadn't seen him in a while so I had to find a recent pic.
Yes, he has lost some forehead, yet retained his blonde locks. While he looks a lot older, I don't see the evidence of the work done.
I worked for him for one week back in college and he was still pretty good looking back then.
I saw ONE "Re-elect Boxer" bumper sticker this summer and was duly shocked. Can anyone supporting her be any smarter than she is?
