The guy in the blue jacket is an employee of one of the service companies there. He is very knowledgeable about the procedures, the nature of the area and what the oil companies are required to do since the oil spill. He is not a politician.

As far as I know most Alaskans are very conscious of their care for the environment. It might even be safe to say that most real Alaskans are conservationists. There's a difference between being a conservationist and being an envirowhacko. We take care of Alaska because it's our home.
