LORD, GOD, PLEASE KEEP ALL FOLKS OF ANY GOOD HEARTEDNESS AT ALL FAR AWAY FROM SUCH PEOPLE AND PLACES.

SHEESH.

INCREDIBLE.

THANKS FOR THE PING.

JUDGMENT IS CERTAINLY AT THE DOOR.

Many of us remember when education in America was successful and rewarding.

Many of us remember when education In America was actually education.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the “other” articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself) The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

This is no way to “enlighten” the students.

This is very much like the video I saw of little children chanting, "Alpha! Omega! Obama Messiah!"

“I’m kind of surprised that this isn’t an official statement from the DNC.”

Even if not stated, they do act it out pretty well, don’they?

IMHO

Ahriman is the Zoroastrian leader of the forces of Darkness as opposed to the Creator God and leader of the forces of light Ahura-Mazda. At first glance it sounds like this guy identifies Lucifer (’the light bearer’) with Ahura-Mazda, and it sounds really whacked out.

We have a Zoroastrian Freeper somewhere, wonder if he will find and comment on this.

Many of us remember when education in America was successful and rewarding.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Government schools have never been successful. Their foundation has **always** been corrupt. Please follow my reasoning.

1) Modern government schools ( opened in the mid-1800s to early 1900s) have ***ALWAYS** been socialist-funded and government owned and run. If children attend socialist schools they learn to be comfortable with taking money from their neighbor. Gee! If the government can use its police threat to take school taxes from their neighbor, why not use police threat to take money for a thousand other wants and needs? ( Is a “duh” necessary?)

2)While the first schools may have offered a lukewarm and generic Protestantism, by the turn of the last century they were essentially godless in their worldview with a sprinkle of scripture and prayer in the morning. ( We know what Christ does with the lukewarm. He spits them out of His mouth!)I will admit that this godlessness was tempered by having mostly Christian teachers, but today they are utterly godless in their worldview. If children attend godless schools they WILL learn to think godlessly! At best they will learn to compartmentalize their faith, or believe that it is something shameful to be hidden like a bathroom activity.

3) Finally, if children attend government owned and run schools and are **compelled** by law to use them, they will learn to be comfortable with government owning their LIVES and possibly even their SOULS! They learn to be comfortable with government compulsion and police threat. Is it any wonder that 51% of the nation voted for Obama? Is it any wonder that Americans saw Franklin D. Roosevelt as a redeemer and savior?

With in one to three generations of children schooled in socialist-funded, government owned and run schools, that were either lukewarm in their Protestant worldview or even godless, we had:

** the federal reserve
** the IRS
** Woodrow Wilson
** usurpation of large tracts of state land for federal parks
** feminism
** unions
** the failed “One World” League of Nations
** FDR's New Deal
** the abominable U.N.
** Johnson's Great Society
** the abolishment of the gold standard.

Government schools have NEVER been successful.

Please, metmom, please read post #34.

While I will agree that the teaching methods may have been more effective, the very foundation upon which government schools are built is, and always has been, corrupt.

I loved reading biographies when I was in grade school. George Washington Carver was one of my heroes. He was an incredible man. I’d like to read a “grownup” biography of him.
