A regularly scheduled "business meeting" of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights on Friday turned into a fiery shout fest -- finger-pointing and all -- over whether the Justice Department was "stonewalling" their investigation into a controversial voting rights case, whether that investigation has been fruitful, and whether the commission can even fulfill its mission anymore.
For more than a year, the commission has been looking into why the Obama administration reversed course on a federal lawsuit against two members of the New Black Panther Party, who were videotaped outside a Philadelphia polling station on Election Day 2008. The two were dressed in military-style uniforms, and one was holding a nightstick. The issue escalated in June when a former Justice Department attorney alleged it was all part of an Obama administration policy to avoid prosecuting minorities, an allegation the Justice Department has strongly denied.
The former Justice Department attorney, J. Christian Adams, has said that Christopher Coates, head of the Voting Rights section at the time, could corroborate his allegations. But the Justice Department has blocked Coates from complying with a subpoena for his testimony.

I abhor prejudice and racism. Having said that, if one is truly honest with oneself, how do you think Caucasians would be treated if those who are now minorities (e.g. Maxine Waters and fellow travelers) were to have absolute power? I don’t think it would be pretty. Too many years have gone by during which it has been made clear that Caucasians, and especially Caucasian men, are legitimate and acceptable targets, and that all ‘people of color’ are ‘victims’. It’s wrong, and it’s very, very, very destructive.

There can be no legitimate reason for them to stop Coates from testifying. They can be present and make sure all the questions are about this one case and nothing else. They know this makes them look guilty as hell but i have to assume the testimony would be even more damaging than the assumption.

This whole mess was making a bee line directly toward Obama’s desk when the NAACP decided to pass and heavily promote their meaningless resolution declaring the tea parties to be racist. It was a planned strategy to shut down the growing news of the black panther / DOJ case.
We must remember to protect the “cracker babies” any time Holder’s Black Panther boys are in town.
Yes, very badly. I think of that black lady who was elected to a powerful position in Baltimore government. She waved a shoe in the air and said the shoe is on the other foot now. After a year or two, I saw what she meant. She was convicted of funneling city money to her relatives. I believe she imagined this was the way whites had governed for so long. It's almost more sad than crooked.
As far as the near future goes for young white males, I wouldn't want to be one. As you indicate, things can turn on a dime.
